Oct 9 2009Jon Gosselin bought his daughter an ATV for her birthday. Seriously.
Kate Gosselin apparently let down her guard last night and allowed Jon Gosselin to stay at their twin daughters, Mady and Cara's, birthday party. She had been threatening to allow him only two hours at their Reading home, but surprisingly, made a decision in the best interest of the children. Of course, it probably helped that Jon had the entire media staked outside their house. Via PopEater:
"I'm staying until the kids go to bed," he said during a break in the visit. "We're trying to be cordial for Mady and Cara."
According to RadarOnline.com, some members of the media were tipped off by Jon himself ... in exchange for a fee. If true, it would appear ironic considering his recent -- and successful -- attempts to shut down filming of the pair's reality show.
Entertainment Tonight reports Jon gave Mady a laptop computer, and Cara an ATV.
Please tell me he had the wherewithal to not hang Spanish Fly from the handlebars. I don't care if you have to lie to me.

The backwards cap and the heater says it all, he is a mental 12 year old. Glad to see this fall's collection of douchewear is now on sale.

Kate's hot. Bet she's good in bed.

An ATV is not a toy. An ATV is an adult transportation device. No child should ever be allowed on drive an ATV. This said after 30+ years as an ER nurse, seeing children with their brains lying beside them on the stretcher as they are rolled in following ATV rollovers. To give an ATV to a nine year old child is negligent parenting at the very best.

He keeps saying he "needs to step up and be a man" for his kids, why doesn't he start with not dressing like he's 12!

Why do these parents have to spend so much money on these children? They should be teaching them about saving money, not always spending money. We are in a recession and I'm sure their friends at school don't receive presents that large. They are to young. An ATV is something that should be for older teens. As for the laptop, I can't even afford one and my husband and I both work 45+ hours per week. I would think they have a homework station with a computer already. Jon, we are in a recession. Stop spending so much. Teach your children to save and be frugile.

haven't really watched that show, but can't escape not to read about this clown in all the news, headlines, comments, etc. so...
how can you fault that woman (or any woman) for pushing him to the ground every day? he has been and still is asking for it every day, and then some. actually, i'd say he deserves a severe beating - mrs. kate alone wasn't enough.
this buttwipe is such a tool - it hurts to watch.
18. ann - October 9, 2009 11:47 AM
I do not know about PA but in my state its illegal to buy an ATV for anyone under 12 yrs old. I sure hope this is a federal law & not a state law.

Hey, SHE'S the one that went out of her way (IVF) to have all those kids. Did we not PLAN well?!? Kinda got what we asked for didn't we, Kate?! That's what happens when you play in God's domain. Be very careful of what you ask for. We can fix that hairdo, but not the number of kids!

I don't think she did it on her own, moron. Exchange your 'she' for 'they' if you want to make sense. God's domain, stick a bible in your craw you harpy.

@ 8, everything jon gosselin does is negligent parenting
23. michael - October 9, 2009 12:41 PM
What an ASSCLOWN. Please pull the plug on this family. Cant wait til they have to work for a living. Wait til these kids are in middle school total meltdown.
24. Someone Else - October 9, 2009 12:49 PM
Did anyone think that the ATV he bought is one of those running on a 12V that you get from Walmart or Toys R Us?
That would seem more fair as a new laptop assuming its not a mini is between 500-1000. Real ATVs cost way more than that.

And some of you people actually think they need all this money from exploiting there kids. Ha! Atv for a kid??? Really???

I think Jon is stuck in some Disney movie where he switched bodies with a frat boy. That explains the Ed Hardy, backwards caps, clueless expressions, lack of a original though, Converse shoes, billy bad ass hanging out in a school parking lot and smoking some Marlboro's.
The only question remains, do we find this frat boy and get Doc Brown (or some ancient Egyptian relic) to reverse their bodies back to normal?

Really? Amazing the ATV is all they got considering he now has $230,000 from their bank account. And she can't pay the bills??? Probably spending the rest of it on his girlfriend the babysitter. Can you say mid life crisis. As far as her being over bearing and controlling, who wouldn't be with a husband that to me seemed always to be off in la la land. Like if she did not tell him what to do he would do nothing!!!!!
31. Gabriel - October 9, 2009 2:03 PM
Your kids are going to grow up, Jon, and then they will get to see what a major douche bag you were, because there will be plenty of footage (thanks to you in part).
The same goes for you, Mom...
I hope all of the kids survive this. Seriously. I wouldn't be surprised if we're reading about foster homes and sh*t like that soon.
32. Tanzarian - October 9, 2009 2:32 PM
Okay everybody, the only way to stop this is to NOT REPLY TO JON GOSSELIN POSTS. This isn't even annoyingly entertaining (see Federline), it's stupid.
33. Jenna - October 9, 2009 3:36 PM
Word just in - Mady just started her own live stream reality show with her new laptop and Cara packed her shit and left on the ATV.
34. Darth - October 9, 2009 4:04 PM
It's a bit suspicious,is he trying to get her sympathy?!
35. Rhialto - October 9, 2009 4:12 PM
Since the kids are the main source of his income. Why would this be a big deal?!
36. Galtacticus - October 9, 2009 4:16 PM
Seriously, his daugther should drive the BMW and he the ATV.
37. Gando - October 9, 2009 4:23 PM
It would be more justified if Jon Gosseling was driving a children's trike.
38. ATVs ROCK! - October 9, 2009 8:18 PM
What's wrong with an ATV?As long as its an appropriate size (50cc, 80ccc, 90cc?) , there's nothing wrong with it. I was 5 when I first got a Honda 70 ATC. I would be more worried about a laptop with internet access then an appropriately sized ATV.

Here's an idea for a spinoff show- Kate & Jon plus eight, plus a court appointed observer and four court appointed psychologists. Or better yet "Jon & Kate Go To Hell" followed at 9 with "Eight Little Gosselins- Happy At Last"....
41. Druckerpatronen - October 10, 2009 3:27 AM
Its great sounds but why for what reason he did it.
Anyone knows.....
42. Shelley - October 10, 2009 11:22 PM
Aren't they like, 7-8 years old ?
43. CINDY - October 11, 2009 10:45 AM
I don't know what the big deal is about an ATV. My children have been reading off rode dirt bikes since they were 2 years old. I have a son and daughter: and they both love riding. My daughter is 19 now and a tom boy by heart, she can keep up with the guys climbing hills.
Jon has a daughter that loves the outdoors and is athletic: so I think it is the perfect present for her.
44. narrowmindedpeoplesuck - October 11, 2009 12:38 PM
ATV's are not an OMG gift.... it is very normal depending where you live.... in PA tons of kids from ages 5 get them as gifts... don't be so narrow minded and bitchy. We get snippets of their lives... I could only imagine what people would think of me if they got 30 minute edited clips of my life!
45. Gio - October 11, 2009 11:41 PM
dueshbag. Nuff said?
46. Narcissist - October 12, 2009 7:06 AM
It's so his daughter can help him haul extra skanks home through the forest.
Folks, if you hate your kids, get them an ATV.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23169857/
I passed a caravan of people on ATVs with like 6 month old babies hanging off em the other day.
47. ATVs ROCK! - October 12, 2009 3:34 PM
Just like every other motorized vehicle, ATVs are perfectly safe when used properly. Most ATV deaths, are a result of improper use, usually driving too fast, no helmet, or a child was allowed to ride an adult size ATV.
48. Maritza - October 12, 2009 8:29 PM
The ATV is for him, but he'll probably let Cara use when it's his turn to stay with the kids. He's a moron.
49. hale - October 12, 2009 9:41 PM
I don't get the Spanish Fly reference... somebody wanna explain that one to me?
50. Narcissist - October 13, 2009 3:54 AM
@ 47 - Yeah, chainsaws are pretty safe if a responsible person handles it. Most people are Dale Earnhardt humping imbeciles though.
51. ATVs ROCK! - October 13, 2009 3:32 PM
@Narcissist,
Some people are idiots yes, but that doesn't mean people that buy their kids ATVs hate their kids, or that most parents(people) are idiots. Your generalizations are melodramatic and inaccurate, including your Earnhardt claim.
