We've learned the identity of the dead woman, Paula Goodspeed, who appeared on Season 5 in 2006. During her audition she said she's an artist and the first pic she ever drew was of Paula Abdul. "Idol" produced a 3 minute and 40 second featurette on Goodspeed and her passion for Paula. She did not make the cut, after Ryan Seacrest proclaimed, "And the love affair is over."

She probably got into Paula's stash and, thinking they were her super awesome Paula pills, chowed down as soon as she got back to her car. Jokes on her I guess.

Paula's comments to the fan:

You were really great. You look wonderful. I love your shoes. I liked the big finish. I think you can win this competition.... I'm speechless.

I had to find out who this chick was cause I was hoping it was that crazt sparkle bitch, you know, the one that wanted to be a vet, and yet her dog hid under the bed the whole time, oh well, she'll probably kill herself soon enough

Paula was her usually superficial cunty self actually. And that Goodspeed chick was kinda pretty and had a smoking body but you could see there was something "off" about her. After Simon ripped her like a 5th grader she got all bi-polar.

Did anyone not see this coming? The reason people watch this show is to watch the three judges laugh at and mock the mentally unstable people who can't sing yet think they can. I'm thinking of starting a reality show were my friends and I go to psychiatric wards and make shit out of the patients. That would be just as humane. Watch that video linked above and tell me that's not heartless... and that goes for all three of them.

It is a sad story all around but I guess in a lot of ways it could have been worse such as the young lady trying to take Paula with her in the final act.

And you are dead right, (no pun intended) - the reason I watch the show is to see the judges mock and laugh at the fruit cakes. That's absolutely dead accurate, (okay I lied - those puns were intended). As a matter of fact, I can barely stand to sit through the good singers, and their happy reactions when they hear they are going to Hollywood - boring!

a girl lost her life last night. Two days ago she was alive, like all of us, and now she's gone. Making light of this tragedy is so wrong.

I'm just glad that the stalker didn't try to kill Paula, too. It's okay to be a fan of someone, but not obsessively stalking them. I do feel bad for her, though.
