Um, 40---a lawyer IS someone who passed the BAR exam. If you went to law school and didn't pass the BAR exam, not much is going to happen for you in your law career. They are not mutually exclusive. For that matter, you don't have be a lawyer to make the laws, you just have to be a certain age and receive the popular vote.
