Also, given that he's American, I doubt he used British phrasing such as "mum" and "stripped off". All things considered, I'd say these quotes were enhanced, shall we say, by News of the World, so one can't really trust their accuracy. They don't get time to mature (because it takes time, for most people, several decades, at least), they get used to having their ass kissed and never being told no, then when they hear no, they take it very badly. And they require constant attention. There are few things sadder than an adult saying "Look at me! Look at me!" I'm not sure who's to blame for Britney, or if blame is a word that is even relevant at this point. Maybe she is mentally ill, or just drug/booze addicted, or maybe both.
