Jan 16 2007Tina Fey at the Golden Globes
Does anybody know how Tina Fey got her scar? I'd Google it myself, but my mouse hand hasn't been working so great ever since I punched that tiger in the face. Nobody looks at my woman that way without getting a fistful of fury. Not even Mother Nature.

That's no scar; that's a crease. Is that part of a face-lift that failed, or...?
2. PublicScene - January 16, 2007 8:30 AM
Who cares, she's funny...
3. veggi - January 16, 2007 8:33 AM

Very talented lady.
Face-lift scare? Really?
5. veggi - January 16, 2007 8:36 AM
She said that Paris Hilton was a piece of shit and looked like a transvestite up close.
Brilliant!
6. Pointandlaugh - January 16, 2007 8:38 AM
I heard that when she was a Jet, she got in a rumble with Johnny Rodriguez. He cut her face with his swiss army knife.
"When you're a Jet, you're a Jet alll the waaaaayyyy......"
7. Matt Duke - January 16, 2007 8:38 AM
For some reason I find that scar sexy. She's not the typical "beautiful" woman...she's got stories to tell.
That and she's hilarious. Funny=sexy to me.
8. Nando - January 16, 2007 8:40 AM
Okay, I know she's cool and all but she looks like she just came back from knitting class or something...with a plunging neckline. lol
Tina, where's the heavy eye makeup and red-ass lips...oh yeah, she's not a whore. :D
9. combustion8 - January 16, 2007 8:42 AM
she ruined SNL.
10. combustion8 - January 16, 2007 8:43 AM
...and no she's NOT funny.
11. Danner - January 16, 2007 8:44 AM
Google searching tells me it is a childhood scar and no one is permitted to talk about it. :)
12. thebor - January 16, 2007 8:45 AM
Hey Cumbust,
She saved SNL, made it funny with a shitty cast. You obviously never watched SNL in the early eighties. Whew those were bad shows, and your a retard.
13. Chuckles - January 16, 2007 8:46 AM
She has not revealed the cause of the scar, it is a highly personal subject.
She is indeed hilariously funny, topical and sexy, scar or no scar.
14. combustion8 - January 16, 2007 8:46 AM
@12
she hardly saved it, while she was head writer it had the lowest ratings since the early 80's... thanks for playing though.
15. Major Trauma - January 16, 2007 8:47 AM
What's with the puzzle piece?
30 Rock, ROCKS!
16. leafslove - January 16, 2007 8:47 AM
All she's ever said about it is it that it was a "childhood incident"... and #9/10, I'm not sure you could be more wrong if you tried.
17. sara - January 16, 2007 8:50 AM
from the ny times:
She started as a co-anchor for Weekend Update with a cast member, Jimmy Fallon, last year, wearing her navy suit and trademark glasses. Her other trademark is a scar that runs along the left side of her face, although she won't discuss it. "It's a childhood injury that was kind of grim," she said. "And it kind of bums my parents out for me to talk about it."
18. no one you know - January 16, 2007 8:50 AM
I heard that it happened when she was very young and was attacked by a dog. Who knows if that's true or not, but the person spilling the info claimed to have been in college with her and had pics to prove it.
19. Spamboy - January 16, 2007 8:52 AM
Swordfight, a la Heathers.
20. 86 - January 16, 2007 8:53 AM
I wonder why a dog attack would bum her parents out? My bet is that one of them did it.
21. crabbieshollywood.blogspot.com - January 16, 2007 8:59 AM
The scar? Bar-fight. Mexican broad. Broken bottle. The usual.

SNL sucked under her direction, but 30 Rock is hilarious.
23. jFp - January 16, 2007 9:19 AM
Can't those things be fixed now with lasers?
There is a kind of gang thing where you get a "smile-cut" for being a wise-ass. Really. It goes back hundreds of years. Real big with the irish kind of tough guys. Looks like they didn't finish the job with Tina on the other side of her face. She should get that fixed.

Also by avoiding talking about the scar she is definitely drawing more attention to it!
26. OhHowCynical - January 16, 2007 9:24 AM
Is it just me, but, doesn't she look like JLO? The un-hoey version, of course.

29. magickal - January 16, 2007 9:35 AM
OK, so I decided to do some of my own detective work of sorts, and, while I still have no idea where she got that godawful scar, I have found that there are a disturbing amout of websites devoted to it! Not her, but, IT!!!
30. Lowlands - January 16, 2007 9:38 AM
This photo is not photoshopped. This is her real smile...
31. whitegold - January 16, 2007 9:46 AM
Childhood incident left a scar. Can't really insult someone for that. Wearing an autism pin, again, can't fault her there. So why am I bothering to comment on this pic?! Must admit, Tina Fey in a cleavage showing dress does seem a but strange. And for as funny as I think she is and as much as I like her on 30 Rock, SNL did go down when she was running the show and it's been much much better since she left!
32. I wouldn't say if I didn't know - January 16, 2007 9:56 AM
Okay everyone, I don't know if it happened when she was a kid or highschool or what but she got that scar from a rape. Maybe she's not lying about not talking about it because of her parents feeling guilty or something but that's how she got it.
33. Mick - January 16, 2007 10:00 AM
SNL has sucked for a really long time, I haven't even bothered to turn it on for over 8 years. I think this broads got a good head on her shoulders and tells it like it is but she isn't funny.
34. DrunkBlogger - January 16, 2007 10:06 AM
She is funny, when not being political.
35. magickal - January 16, 2007 10:07 AM
This past weekend's SNL sucked big time. Jake Gyllenhaal = not funny. Or, at least, the writers ruined any chances of being funny. The whole thing blew. Even the Andy Sandberg, Laser Cats sketch was just mediocre. The weekend update sucks without Tina Fey, as Amy Pohler and Seth Myers are a snooze fest together. Seperately, Amy is ok. Sometimes. The show will never be what it once was, and is becoming awkward to watch. Oh, and we get it. Keenal can't make it through a skit without laughing. That was funny about the first 143 times.
36. magickal - January 16, 2007 10:08 AM
Fucking fingers! Can't type today! KEENAN not Keenal. Although I'm sure everyone figured that out by now. But, for the retards....
37. vonka245 - January 16, 2007 10:08 AM
I looked it up and in 2001 during an interview all she would disclose is that it was a childhood accident that she would much rather not discuss because it upsets her parents.
38. aurealis - January 16, 2007 10:28 AM
Man, after she called Paris out like that... she officially became glorious, in my books. I would like to believe that she was in a shank fight with Tara Reid. And guess who won.
39. F-Sucker - January 16, 2007 10:32 AM
I'd hit it.
40. TheWolf - January 16, 2007 10:49 AM
Why all the hoo-hah about a scar?
Of course, all of us posting here are not only free of scars or marks resulting from a normal life's events but also have nothing such as tattoos or piercings to mar our perfect faces and bodies.
41. Italian Stallion - January 16, 2007 10:53 AM
I know how she got the scar. She was in a "cock fight". One of the roosters must of got her good. Her parents don't like to talk about it because they needed the money to save the family home. Yeah, she was really poor growing up..............
42. AndYourLittleDogToo - January 16, 2007 10:55 AM
The puzzle piece is from the organization "Autism Speaks," which is run by the wife of the president of NBC. Their grandson is autistic and she started the organization to draw attention to the disease.
And the scar is from a dog attack when she was a kid.
43. Spindoc - January 16, 2007 10:56 AM

44. biatcho - January 16, 2007 10:58 AM
What is this autism you speak of? I've never heard of it until Tina fey brought attention to it but I still just don't know enough. Enlighten me please, someone.

46. lostopoly - January 16, 2007 11:02 AM
She wears what seems to be a braless and no-construction cocktail dress ripped from the resale store. Does NBC not pay her money?
47. Maskatron - January 16, 2007 11:14 AM
She's not funny at all and she basically ruined SNL.
And she's not a bombshell or anything, but she's mildly attractive. Maya Rudolf on the other hand...

agree with #47. I don't think she is funny at all. Totally overrated. She is responsible for 1 funny skit out of hundreds. Don't forget, she is also responsible for the hundreds of unfunny skits.

#48 - SPEAK ENGLISH! You're not posting to here from a cell phone are you? Or do all of the repeating '1's make you just stupid?
Tina Fey - coming out against Paris Hilton makes her awesome in my book. But that top requires more boobage and maybe a bit of a tan (not an orange tan like Posh or CA).
Work on that hun, K?
52. reptilicus - January 16, 2007 11:27 AM

She got into a fight with funny and failed.
She didn't ruin SNL she just didn't make it funny, it hasn't been funny for a really long time!
58. space_monkey - January 16, 2007 12:44 PM
I think it was more like a butterfly effect type of thing where her evil shit of a little brother was trying to set her boyfriends dog on fire...long story short, she gets hit in the face with a 2 x 4. I heard somewhere the ghostwrote that scene.
59. nicholelibra - January 16, 2007 12:54 PM
She called Paris Hilton a fraggle. Girlfriend just made the top 10 in my book.
Who cares about the scar? I'm not saying that it's a good thing or anything, but I'm quite sure that she wouldn't be the person she is today if she didn't endure the stigma of it.
JMO, but the scar becomes more interesting considering she's kept it a secret for so long. Whatever it is her parents are somehow involved because whenever it's brought up they get upset, which can be percieved as a sign of guilt.
60. gossipmonger - January 16, 2007 12:58 PM
I love that she blasted Paris-it's so not Hollywood to talk
crap about other actors-it one can say that about Paris.
I didn't like what she did on SNL but 30 Rock is hilarious
and Alex Baldwin is the best he's ever been.
61. gossipmonger - January 16, 2007 12:59 PM
Oh-that should be Alec Baldwin-I think.
62. MediaGrrl - January 16, 2007 1:08 PM
she has gorgeous eyes and a pretty smile that distract you from her scar, she looked very pretty last night, and of course she is a Paris-hating genius, so she sparkles in the best sexy-smart way!
63. dJjazzYjesS - January 16, 2007 1:12 PM
I read that she got it in a car accident. I'm thinking maybe her parents are upset by it because they were driving...drunk...with leprachauns on their laps? Who knows. As far as her being funny, i think she is. I mean you can't ever blame one person for making SNL not funny. It take all the stars aligning perfectly at one point in time every 20 years to make it work. Most of the time the writers and actors just dont have that chemistry and it leaves you tasting paint thinner in your mouth instead of delicious pie. Its a shame really.

i agree with 57 that snl sucking was not her fault.. it has sucked for a long time...
but how can people say she is not funny?! HELLO- DIDN'T ANY OF YOU SEE MEAN GIRLS?! "you go Glenn Coco!"
67. cole007 - January 16, 2007 1:40 PM
man, this website sucks now. all the comments are perez hilton style. El-Shitty-o-maximus.
68. GG 4.33 - January 16, 2007 1:46 PM
I really don't care about the scar. I think it's nitpicking. But she is overrated. SNL still sucked under her tenure. As for the Hilton comment, it's hip to be up on her, and she did it on Howard Stern's show, where Howard likes celebrities to rip on each other.
69. GG 4.33 - January 16, 2007 1:47 PM
BEAT up on her, sorry about my typo...
70. wedgeone - January 16, 2007 1:55 PM
#52 - so at what point in your frenetic cell-phone language did your sarcastic intention appear? It's so freaking difficult to follow that I don't think it's clear to the average blogger on this site (me included).
Yours was the first post like that. And no one else was levying cracks at someone doing that. I think that your aim fell a bit short of the target. Sorry, but that's just me.
71. pumpkinpye - January 16, 2007 2:08 PM
I read a few things:
1. It was a grim childhood accident
2. She got into a fight with a boyfriend when she was in L.A
3. A family member attacked her as a child
4. She ran through a door screen when she was little that cut open the left side of her cheek and her chin
But still the scar remains a mystery...
72. suzy - January 16, 2007 2:12 PM
she's responsible for Mean Girls.. which is one of the best movies ever lol
73. caljenna - January 16, 2007 2:29 PM
I was wondering how long it would take before we got a shout out (or two) for Mean Girls! Very funny movie, and all the teen girls are stil quoting it (i.e. "you whore!")Well, maybe not all, but my niece still does, and she has the attention span of a gnat.

75. ResidentX - January 16, 2007 2:40 PM
Tina's overrated. She needs to put the glasses back on. Some girls will never be able to have that glamour look. I haven't seen 30 rock. I know their offering free episodes on itunes.
@12 Did Tina save the show? Lot's of people are required to make a show successful. She's just one person. TV isn't a meritocracy.
76. ResidentX - January 16, 2007 2:41 PM
If someone KNOWS the reason for the scar please post it.

78. sol - January 16, 2007 3:03 PM
during rehearsals for Tina's first-ever snl show, Horatio Sanz pulled down his pants and sat on her face, and the skin cracked permanently. true story.
79. biatcho - January 16, 2007 3:52 PM
From the nose up she looks like Mary Louise Parker, from the nose down to the chin she looks like that model that got her face slashed in NYC in the late 80s... what the fuck was her name again?
80. Truthseeker013 - January 16, 2007 4:07 PM
Uhhhh...
*What* scar?
81. ResidentX - January 16, 2007 4:55 PM
She's making all of this money. She can't have this scar "lasered" or fixed. She needs to call McNamara and Troy. The fixed work done by the carver :-)
82. outoftown - January 16, 2007 5:10 PM
imagine a world where preteen girls look up to tina fey instead of parisite.
83. icanttasteit - January 16, 2007 7:14 PM
She was in a serious car accident years ago and was left with that scar. She doesn't like to talk about it either.
84. kathleen170 - January 16, 2007 7:22 PM
I love Tina Fey. Hilarious, brilliant, and gorgeous.
85. lamarezza - January 16, 2007 8:06 PM
i heard she got mugged...she was a model before the incident, too
86. Meritocrat - January 16, 2007 8:13 PM
There's no reason for Tina Fey to go through the trouble/pain of getting her scar fixed because she's one of the handful of women in Hollywood who earned her fame with intelligence/talent/personality/whatever you want to call it, and not her appearance. Plus, she looks good anyway. Yay!
87. JagedNS - January 16, 2007 8:16 PM
she's definitely hot. I could care less about SNL but I enjoyed watching weekend update with her fallon the few times I saw it.
As for 30 Rock. It's the only sitcom I watch. It's a hell of a lot funnier than some of the other crap on out there. Tracy Morgan is funny as hell in it, Baldwin is Baldwin and the rest of the cast is strong also.
88. drowningfool - January 16, 2007 11:45 PM
She acts too serious to be funny, gets all political and shit, in fact the only reason she gets any attention at all is because lets face it, she's pretty hot for an SNL chick. (And she was responsible for Mean Girls, which is the reason Lydnsey Hohan is famous...good job Tina Feo)
To all those that would "hit" that - Do you really want a chick going over her lame material with you after getting your load off? Really?
89. djskins - January 17, 2007 12:11 AM

Don't believe me? look it up

she had a mouth reduction. she used to look like cameron diaz.
91. LB0t - January 17, 2007 5:08 AM
No no you have it all wrong. She was in my platoon back in the first Iraq War. Some tangos tried to over-run our patrol and one of em fired an RPG at me. Tina, not thinking of her own safety, pushed me out of the line of fire, but she was struck in the face with pieces of sharpnel when the RPG exploded. It's true all right, yep ya-huh
92. tweetyeyes - January 17, 2007 5:12 AM
The scar is from the botched abortion her mother attempted when she was in the birth canal. Thats why she doesnt want to talk about it. Her parents are still devistated everyday that the scank bitch still made it out and continues to open her big tranny mouth! She definately screwed up SNL!
93. jrzmommy - January 17, 2007 6:59 AM
Biatcho--I remember that! Her name was Carla.
94. BeaGass - January 17, 2007 7:41 AM

95. elizabeththewellread - January 17, 2007 8:33 AM

96. pixel killya - January 17, 2007 10:46 AM

But I do give her major respect for the Paris-tranny comment.
97. aliomali - January 17, 2007 11:04 AM
child hood accident with her headgear possibly?
98. tweetyeyes - January 17, 2007 11:35 AM

I actually heard the story of how she got her scar from a professor of mine who worked with her at Second City.
When she was little, about 6 or so, the doorbell rang at her house and she answered the door. Some guy slashed her face with a knife and ran off. It sounds really random and weird... but apparently that's what happened. It wasn't a car accident or a dog attack.
