Anna Nicole Smith buys Bahamas citizenship

Residents of the Bahamas reportedly pissed off because Anna Nicole Smith reportedly got bumped to the top of the citizenship list after she had a $10,000 check delivered to the personal home of the Bahamas' immigration minister. Smith was allegedly given citizenship in a super quick three weeks, although the immigration minister is insisting it took three months.
"Now granted this one was done very quickly," he told The Bahama Journal. "We did our research. It's not the first time." He cited the case of a wealthy Czech financier from 1995, whose application was processed in just over two months.
I knew Anna was in the Bahamas to avoid a paternity battle against Larry Birkhead but I didn't realize she was so serious about it she actually got her citizenship. I believe the next step in her epically suspicious saga is to create an offshore bank account in the Cayman islands, walk around in a trenchcoat and sunglasses, and repeatedly meet a mustached stranger, occasionally giving him a briefcase of some sort.

Too bad she couldn't buy some class.

Bahama residents are pissed that pseudo celebrities are buying their way into their country? Wow, that's so much worse than millions of mexicans hopping the fence over here... I feel for them.

No, the next step in her progression is to marry Kim Jong-il and take over the world together. Now THAT's a power couple.

Has her son been buried yet?

First Howard Hughes and his 37 wills, now this.
We do enjoy a good scandal.

Bahamas? Damn! I wanted to see her fall on her ass after Maury reads, "You are not the father" to both guys.

That Lawyer has her so doped up that he can probably convince her to do anything. I'm sure he wants to avoid any kind of paternity test on that kid since there is no way it is his.

I wonder if Anna was in Erie, P.A. this week?
ERIE, Pennsylvania (AP) -- A woman used her 4-week-old baby as a weapon in a domestic dispute, swinging the infant through the air and striking her boyfriend with the child, authorities said.
The baby was critically injured in the attack early Sunday, said District Attorney Bradley Foulk.
"Never, never, never. I can never remember anything like this," Foulk told the Erie Times-News.
Chytoria Graham, 27, of Erie, was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and simple assault. She was held Monday in the Erie County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.

Why is she still here? Justin Timberlake got slapped with meat. Now that's more entertaining.

If Larry is the father, what she is doing is very wrong. Face the music Anna, running never solved anything.

Did she really have the pay-off -- a check -- delivered to the official facilitating the favor? How subtle.
10--What is up with THAT? What an animal.

I'd take her check. For 10 K I'd make her Honorary Somethingorother.

I hear this is where Nicole Brown's killers, Jon Benet's murderer, and MJ's paid out preteens spend the rest of their lives. It's like a fucking B list celeb Candyland. Nicole Richie and Flavor Flav are on the waiting list, but apparently you have to kill or rape someone to be let in. VH1 is considering a reality show to combine the two. Who knew?

If they are already residents, why do they care? I don't care how long it takes for people to become US residents.

#10 - That sounds like one prison bound bitch!

No, she hasn't buried her son yet... and although no one deserves to lose a child, her recent actions have been nothing more than publicity stunts. If I lost my daughter the way she lost Daniel, I know for damn sure I wouldn't be getting "married" days later and it sure as hell wouldnt take me well over a week to have a funeral... if she loved her son so much how about showing him a little respect.

18 - Actually the actiosn were nto publicity driven but damage control. The photog who says the baby is his has said that he believes the baby and Anna would test positive for Methadone use. Hence, her running off to the Bahamas to have the baby. Anyone who has heard her in an interview or seen her on TV can tell that drugs ahve been an ongoing problem. Now we know how her poor little boy died. He got mommy's methodone, which was supplied by none other than Howard K Stern... Also a user... Someone shoot this bitch...
20. Posted by Italian Stallion on October 9, 2006 11:51 AM
Rumor has it that "Kemit the Frog" is the dad, because the baby came out green........
Could have been the drugs though, who knows?

19- point taken... and she should be shot... I feel sorry for her little girl... lets hpe she doesnt grow up just like mommy... a drug addicted trashy skank who marries old naive men for their cash...

Paybacks are hell. Creepy Howard Stern is using her for her money just like she used the old guy.

So who is the daddy to her baby, and is it really HER baby? I don't ever recall seeing prego pics of her anywhere.

OK, Hate to be a party poop, but as someone actually living in the Bahamas, 90% of the info in this story is wrong.
First, it was permanent residency, not Citizenship - that's a difference similar to, say, me having a note from my mom saying I have a cold, and me having US citizenship.
Yeah, its *that* different.
Second the cheque was delivered to the treasury, not to the minister of immigration
and third... most people in the Bahamas couldn't give a crap..
Ahh, the news, eh!
25. Posted by PunjabPete on October 9, 2006 2:25 PM
24 - Thanks for the correction. What a vast improvement. She sent the bribe check right to the treasury.
I am sure the people who are trying to get their residency give a crap...
Either way it is just one more example of this woman's problems...
