Aug 3 2009Ryan O'Neal hit on Tatum - at Farrah's funeral

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Ryan O'Neal admits to accidentally hitting on his own daughter Tatum while loading Farrah Fawcett's dead body on a hearse. I don't know whether to be disgusted or call this man Jesus:

"I had just put the casket in the hearse and I was watching it drive away when a beautiful blonde woman comes up and embraces me," Ryan told me. "I said to her, 'You have a drink on you? You have a car?' She said, 'Daddy, it's me--Tatum!' I was just trying to be funny with a strange Swedish woman, and it's my daughter. It's so sick."
"That's our relationship in a nutshell," Tatum said when I asked her about it. "You make of it what you will." She sighed. "It had been a few years since we'd seen each other, and he was always a ladies' man, a bon vivant."

.... This has to be like porn to Joe Simpson.

Rest in Peace, Farrah. You'll be missed.

(Added a more fitting pictorial. Thanks for all the suggestions.)

Jun 4 2009Melissa Joan Hart apologizes to Farrah Fawcett

Melissa Joan Hart has issued an apology to Farrah Fawcett after it was reported she wanted Farrah to stay alive only so Melissa could remain on the cover of People. Via Just Jared:

The Sabrina the Teenage Witch star writes, "It has come to my attention that something I said has been completely misconstrued in the press. I was merely explaining what I had read about how the cover of People magazine was chosen from an article last week I read in the Times. I truly hope that Farrah and her family know I wish them the best at this time in her life. And that I would never be so selfish to disrespect anyone, let alone someone I admire greatly."
Melissa continues, "Last week was an intense one for me in many regards. Not only for all the reasons that have been publicized for you like the magazine cover and the opening of our new shop. But mainly because my mother was admitted into the hospital and underwent an intense 8 hour surgery on a brain tumor. All of my 6 siblings and I gathered at my house and the hospital for the entire week to be strong for each other. She is out of the woods and on her way to recovery, luckily she is a good healer and has 7 children to lend a hand in times like these. Prayer is a big part of my life and it was very crucial last week for my mommy. I ask that you keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she fights her way to a full and wonderful recovery. I love you Mommy!!!"

So long story short, it's all Melissa's "mommy's" fault for getting a brain tumor. Classy.

Jun 3 2009Melissa Joan Hart is a selfless individual

Seen here at the opening of her new ice cream and candy store, Melissa Joan Hart appeared to be deeply concerned about Farrah Fawcett's health last week. But for reasons that would any vapid publicity hound proud. Page Six reports:

The former "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" star was overheard off-camera at KTLA in Los Angeles on Friday saying how she'd been hoping last week that cancer-stricken Farrah Fawcett wouldn't die -- and thus bump Hart off the cover of People magazine. Hart is on this week's cover posing in a bikini after recently losing 42 pounds.

Blatant narcissism aside, anyone else find it ironic that a woman who dropped 40 pounds is opening up a candy store complete with ice cream parlor? That's like a rehabilitated child molester saying "You know what? I should do magic for kids birthday parties." Okay, maybe that example was a bit extreme, but so is obesity. To the max.
