As someone who is generally conservative, I just have to say that we definitely need more people who aren't afraid to bash on the less practical aspects of the Republican party. True, one of the biggest strengths of the GOP is the solidarity, something the left tends to lack, but the republicans make their long term survival less and less likely, the more they refuse to adapt. I think the future leadership of the GOP lies in its modern conservative critics, who are more in touch with the rest of the country, as opposed to the radical conservatives currently running the party, who are too busy drawing lines in the sand and alienating people due to an almost outright refusal to consider the values of others. I don't think Meghan will succumb to the demands of the GOP, and for that I respect her.
