On the shows I watched half the time John looked dazed, confused and clueless almost like he was stoned most of the time. No wonder Kate said some of the stuff she said, someone had to "wake him up" to the reality of his life. Unfortunately for Kate being the responsible parent took it's toll on their marriage but I think the children are way better off without having John as an older, very needy sibling.

Have John take the children with him to NYC, or Europe, and hang out with Hailey or one of his other girlfriends and see how much "fun" that will be.
