Okay, first of all to be honest when I heard RP was playing Edward, I was upset. I didn't find him nowhere near attractive enough to pull off the Edward in the books. Yet, he's growing on me! Same with Stephen Moyer, when I watched the first episode of True Blood, I was thinking Couldn't they of picked a hotter guy to play him. However, he to has grown on me. Whoever said that Stephen is the most boring vamp. Are you nuts? RP/Edward doesn't have sex and Stephen Moyer/Bill is hooking up with Sookie ( fully nude by the way) all the time. Bill/Stephen is not boring IMO at all. I don't know why in the world SM felt the need to call out RP or Edward. Maybe, cuz he is tired of his show being compared to Twilight when they are nothing alike besides both having vamps in them ( plus the Southern Vampire Mysteries which TB is based on came out before the Twilight series). Twilight is more for the tweens (watered down, keeping it clean for the kids) and True Blood is most def. for Adults (the sex on the show is amazing). I have read both the Twilight books (which I enjoyed, just hated that they didn't have any sexual content in them at all, but the books were good) and the SVM books (love the books, like that they hold nothing back, and are geared toward adults). If I had to choose which one of the book series I liked more, it would be a hard choice. However, if I had to choose between Twilight (the movie) and True Blood (the series), True Blood wins hands down. I think it's the best show on TV.

When you think about it, Edward wasn't a very menacing vampire, he was more angelic than sinister. Where as, SVM and True Blood is all ADULT, if we are using drinks as analogy's it's moonshine compared to Twilight. The vamp family in Twilight were more Angelic type beings than scary vampires. Although, most the vamps in TB live off synthetic blood, they still have a very very dark side to them. I don't see anything angelic about them at all. So I get what SM was trying to say, but he could of said it better and not ticked off all these tweens, the good thing is that he probably didn't hurt his show any by saying this because tweens are probably not (and shouldn't) be watching True Blood.
