Jun 26 2009Michael Jackson's death sort of like if Anna Nicole and Heath Ledger put their drugs in one big pile
An autopsy on Michael Jackson's body will be performed today, and early reports from his family and friends are indicating the King of Pop had a drug problem not unlike Anna Nicole Smith. He was taking large amounts of Xanax and sleeping pills (which were the cause of Heath Ledger's death), along with a daily shot of Demerol (a morphine-like narcotic) that was administered by a live-in doctor who has since gone missing. TMZ reports:
Law enforcement sources tell us a BMW belonging to the doctor was towed from Jackson's home last night. Cops are looking to interview the doc.
A law enforcement source says the doctor gave Jackson an injection before he died.
Jackson reportedly may have OD'd on Demerol. As we first reported, family members were concerned that Jackson was taking too much morphine.
According to People, Michael's family attempted to stage an intervention in Las Vegas which ended in Michael getting furious and attacking them with a giraffe. Okay, maybe that last part didn't happen, but the man was constantly high and owned zoo animals. Is it really that big of a stretch?

That is completely false. He was an excellent musician. It is sad that the music world lost such a legend. He was a talented musician before he was ever a pedophile.
No one is saying, "Damn, this really sucks that he died because I was really hoping he could sodomize my son :(!"
The fact of the matter is, his musical career was a driving influence behind many of today's greatest musicians and if he had not paved the way, many of them would not be where they are today.
So, even if you don't like the guy based of his completely bizarre personal life, you cannot deny that he impacted the music world in such a way that it was altered completely.
It's kind of like how Tom Cruise really sucks and is a creepy Scientologist yet still is an amazing actor. I hate the guy for being part of a cult responsible for the death of many individuals, but it's impossible for me to deny his acting ability.
22. vito - June 26, 2009 11:50 AM
My condolences to his family and all that shit.
I wish there were more stories about him in the news and on the web. That would make it a Michael Jackson monopoly. Christ, he was an entertainer. An incredibly talented entertainer, but an entertainer nonetheless. People are behaving as though he were the fucking president or something. Sheesh...
No one seems to give two shits about Farrah Fawcett's death. She was a major masturbatory fantasy for many of us baby-boomer guys. RIP, Baby Doll...

Arthur Kade's Ballbag, does it really make you feel good to say things like that about a dead man? Though I am not his biggest fan, it is still a shock and a tragedy. And to say that anyone who is sad about this condones child molestation? That is one of the most rediculous I have ever heard in my life. And oh yeah, can you please tell me when he was found guilty for charges of child molestation? You are a sick individual, I truly feel bad for someone as pathetic as you.

34. Phil - June 26, 2009 12:19 PM
"And oh yeah, can you please tell me when he was found guilty for charges of child molestation? "
Exactly. He spend night after night sleeping with boys and nothing ever happened. When he moved to a secluded location in another country after his trial was over in the U.S., that was just because he liked the view, not because he knew he couldn't continue his "lifestyle" in the U.S. anymore. I know lots of grown men who sleep with boys and I believe them when they say nothing sexual happens - they're priests, they'd never lie.

Excuse me, but the pedophile is dead almost 24 hours now. Haven't we had enough pictures of him here? Aren't ANY woman walking around in bikini's today, or without bras, or making sex tapes, etc.?
Freaks are like tabasco sauce to this site. We like to occassionally see that Courtney love's Madonna-fication is on track, or that Madonna's Skeletor-ization is going swimmingly, or that Mickey Rourke has devoured another young actresses soul. All good in moderation, but let's keep our focus here and get back to pictures of drunk D-Listers falling out of their clothes.
Carry on.
36. shankyouverymuch - June 26, 2009 12:25 PM
Elisabeth Taylor came up with the stupid title of "King of Pop" for MJ.
It was in response to a question asked by a reporter as to who she felt was a stronger preformer, Elvis (THE KING of ROCK) or Jackson?
At this press interview she blurted out something to the effect that, though Elvis was the THE KING of ROCK, she felt that Jackson was equally great & at that point declared Jackson, "The King of Pop".
Of course the Jackson camp & the media fueled that fire with more hype & ran with the notion until everyone just sort of excepted it.
Personally I always thought that, "The King of POOP" was much more appropriate for Jackson's brand of music.
History will tell, but I just don't see MJ's music lasting long at all, like say the Beatles or Elvis, or many others in modern music history. Jackson's music just doesn't carry any weight, it's mostly all fluff & puff. - "who's bad" - Jackson is!

@6, Can we please be a little more original and stop the pedophile jokes. He was fucking acquitted for all those alleged molestation charges. Furthermore, the parents of those "molested" kids took plea money instead of pressing charges...MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, I have to add. I'm sorry, but if somebody molested my kid, no money in the world would be enough for me to drop my lawsuit, it's not a matter of money, it's a matter of morals and justice. These parents are gold digging opportunists who tried to capitalize on the moronic myth of MJ's alleged pedophilia. Get a life!
40. Completely Naive - June 26, 2009 12:59 PM
Wacko Jacko gets all the sympathy. The parents who took the payoffs were wrong to do so of course, but you say don't judge Jacko cause you don't know him, well you don't know the parents of the children either, so take your own advice.
Who knows, maybe a nice payoff to make yourself disappear is safer than being surrounded by a bunch of fucked in the head, outside the courtroom MJ supporters who want to kill you cause you won't let their hero touch your boy's peepee.
But then, what do I know, I was pretty sure OJ and Robert Blake were guilty too. Look how wrong I was there.

48. Vince Lombardi - June 26, 2009 1:56 PM
Let's look at some objective facts:
Michael Jackson was an extremely talented musician and entertainer - at his pinnacle, he was untouchable, perhaps surpassing even Elvis and the Beatles. Everyone wanted to emulate him. That is what the public saw, but no one saw the other side of him because he was extremely guarded with his privacy.
Michael Jackson was flawed. He had a self-image issue, which led to him having MULTIPLE surgeries to change his physical appearance. This is obvious and undeniable. He was a recluse, by anyone's standards, brought on mostly by his insane amount of fame. But the most troubling aspect of his persona was that he was not able or willing to acknowledge publicly, even after having children, that it was or *could be perceived* as wrong for a grown adult man to sleep in a bed with another person's child who was not a relative. Whether anything happened between them or not is a matter of pure conjecture, but Michael Jackson was unable to make that connection to reality. He was disconnected from the world in a way most of us will never understand. It is mystifying. Some refer to it as his childlike innocence, but to me it was quite chilling. Name one person who is not a fictional character who acted that way.
I'm not at all surprised to read there is the possibility of prescription drugs involved in his death. When I read that a 50 year old man who appeared to be in good physical condition (albeit possibly anorexic) died of cardiac failure, and knowing of his history of surgeries, I felt that there was a good chance he got too much of something and that the tox screen would tell the story.
Am I sad that he's dead? No, not really. Michael was a shell of who he was 20 years ago. He was past relevancy. He was the circus freak we all stared at but were ashamed to admit it. We all waited and waited for his genius to resurface and it never did. Was it the drugs that kept his talents suppressed? I guess we'll never know. Was he a pedophile? I'm certain those stories will come pouring forth, now that he's unable to defend himself, but again, we'll never know.
The facts are, he had amazing talents and he squandered them in his latter years. For that, I have no sympathy.

#41. Jennyjenjen ...
I'm going to rename YOU ... Jennydumdum- there much better!
I know nothing about any yahoo article, what I wrote about, I saw on TV at the time that it happened.
As for Thriller being the #1 selling album, so what! Britney Spears album ...Baby One More Time, sold as many copies as U2's album The Joshua Tree. I don't think there is anyone that would say Brit-Brits record has the same impact, weight or substance that U2's record does. Yet they both sold the same amount of copies 25 million.
But I'll bet you anything Jennydumdum, that in 30 or 40 years U2 will still be thought of as having been one of the most critically acclaimed, highly substantive band ever. At the same time Brit-Brit if remembered at all, will be nothing more then a footnote, who's main contribution was showing her shaved vajay-jay to the world every time she got out of a car.
Record sales are marginal to what I was writing about. There will always be silly people with bad or simpleton taste in music- YOU prove that Jennydumdum.
Legitimacy & longevity is what my point was. & know those are hard concepts for a tiny brain like yours to understand, but I think history will prove me right & YOU wrong.
MJ's music is simply & ultimately nothing more then lightweight, interchangeable, here today gone tomorrow, throwaway 80's pop music.
I'll admit that some of it may be momentarily fun & entertaining, but none of it that I can think of anyway, is meaningful or long lasting in anyway.

These parents are gold digging opportunists who tried to capitalize on the moronic myth of MJ's alleged pedophilia. Get a life!"
Get a brain. Of course your feelings as a parent are universal and all parents everywhere think and behave exactly like you do. So because you'd never abuse your kid, that proves there's no such thing as child abuse. Or parents who kill their children. Let me assure you that both happen - foster care and cemeteries are full of the victims. So, reason much?
The fact that the parents took money might give you a clue that they 1) might not be quite so vigilant and protective as you are and drank the Kool Aid like a lot of the adoring multitide here until they found out otherwise or 2) they might not be complete shits and took the massive payoff to a) get something concrete for their kid or b) protect their child rather than shoot craps in a trial and subject their kid to more shit or 3) they cold-bloodedly traded their child for a $25M payday and figured he'd grow up and get over it with some therapy.
Since you're such a caring parent, would you let a grown man - any man - sleep in the same bed with your children? Because some parents sure as shit did, and Jackson made NO bones about what he liked to do. So either every single one of those gold-digging parents were breaking down the gates of Neverland and MAKING him sleep with their children against his better instincts, or like most clever molesters he chose wisely from the ones who had parents that were most corrupt, deluded or financially needy and and bought their silence when the shit hit the fan.
Come up with a better rationale to defend your diddling hero because your apologist defense has as many holes as Swiss cheese.

To @50, there is no comparison to MJ and Britney Spears. MJ can run rings around her any day and U2. Thriller was the top selling albun in the world, it's in the Guinness Book of World Records, is any of their stuff in there? Stop hating on MJ. He had flaws just like anyone else. I hated it when he kept altering his face to look like a clown, but with the money he had, he could do what ever the hell he wanted. He looked great on the thriller cover, but I don't know what he was after when he kept on getting his face messed up. I believe all that came from his father, when he used to call him big nose with bad skin and black. Parents don't know what they do to their children when they criticize and belittle them. He could no help the way he looked, blame his parents for that, they made him. Anyway, he sought to change his appearance to look like a white person because he thought he could get farther looking like them, but he went a little too far and really looked like a clown.
He was a a great entertainer and will be missed by the public, I'm talking about real music lovers, not those people who just hear music and call themselves liking it. Like #43 said, he worked his ass off for his fans, and he had a lot of them, despite the fact that he was labeled a pedofile. We don't know what happened at Neverland, and will never know for sure, but that is what started his demise. He is gone now, and we can get on with our lives. I say, "Live and Let Live", we are not perfect and never will be. We all have skeletons in our closets and in our beds. MJ was a legend and he and Elvis were the greatest. Let's not speak ill of the dead, our day will come soon, because death begins at life.
Let the family grieve in peace. How would you like if someone bashed your loved one like some of you idiots and fools are doing? You don't know the story, so let it be. RIP in MJ.

# 48 V Lombardi, the irony is that, contrary to what you proclaim in your post, nobody was "ashamed to admit" that we collectively stared at him and ridiculed him in the press. And now that he's dead, people are coming out in droves to honor him and his music. His death is dominating the headlines. It's just how we operate as a society, I guess, hypocrisy is the name of the game.
As for the overdose of narcotics leading to his respiratory arrest, any doctor worth his weight in salt would have had narcan around to reverse the effects of whatever opioids he may have overindulged in. If it was IV demerol, morphine, a combination, whatever, his death could have easily been prevented with an IV dose of narcan. Most Americans are addicted to something, we tend to marginalize the number of deaths that occur daily from alcohol consumption. I just hope this incident doesn't in some way add fuel to the fire of the anti narcotics movement in this country. That would be the real f*****g tragedy.

The list goes on and on.Marilyn Monroe,Elvis Presley,River Phoenix,Judy Garland and so on.When you don't have control about your life then the ultimate death would be a controlled death?

The reality of his talent didn't hit me at first until all the coverage that has been on t.v the last week. He had a rich history in the music industry; mixed with so much speculation on whether or not he was a child predator. So the question comes to mind, was Michael Jackson's pain the sort of angst that leads some people to escape to from the world by abusing prescription medicines or street drugs? Once cannot speculate, but the thought has crossed my mind.
