Shocking! I have a four year old daughter, my heart aches for them. Who would have thought of such a scenario...no one I hope, it was indeed an accident. I think we forget that our little one's are still very mischievious, and they need a lot of supervision. This is a teaching moment, and I'm giving my babies (8, and 4) and extra hug and kiss, and sending a special prayer for their family. No matter how evil he has behaved in the past, I would never wish this unfortunate tradgedy upon him or his family. I only had 28 years with my mother, and I know how devastating losing a loved one can be, I pray they find solace in the time they shared with the precious daughter, now an angel. :(

We should all remember how fragile life is, and embrace it. You really never know. Freak accidents happen all the time, and this was unfortunate. Rest in Peace sweet baby girl (Exodus). Devastating....Mike has spoken about the regret he had for not having been a child his mother could be proud of, before she died when he was 16. It seems like he's started to nurture his relationships with his own children, and I know he had to have had great pride in his little girl.
In the short time that little Exodus had with her father, he has been the most balanced and peaceful that we have known him to be, and maybe she brought that peace into his life. He stopped inflicting pain upon himself.
It would be nice if Mike got the public and private support he has longed for, and hopefully he will accept our condolences without shutting down-
Maybe that was God's purpose for putting this baby in his life, that he has learned to accept and give love, and can now understand that we all accept him as a human being, one of the greatest athletes of all time, and someone that does not deserve this pain.

That really fucking sucks. I heard the story on the local Phx news in the morning and at noon, it didn't sound good from what they knew then. But to hear that the worst happened is horrible.

I am the father to a 13 year old young man, and a 2 year old little girl. My 2 year old meets me at the door after a long day of work with outstretched arms and an excited scream of "Daddy!!!" She runs to my arms, and I hug her so tightly. My son comes over and gives me a hug, and asks how my day was. Once upon a time ago, it was he who would meet me at the door with outstretched arms yelling "Daddy." I involve myself in many activities, and none of them compare to my children.

To imagine their voices silenced is a horror to me. I cannot imagine losing a child. I cannot comprehend the loss and pain that their death would cause. I pray that I never experience that pain, and that I die before them.

Right now, a man that I do not know is suffering from a pain I fear. Lord knows that I've mocked him, made jokes at his expense, and generally have looked down upon him. But he has now lost a child. How can anybody not be moved by their basic humanity to feel his pain, and pray for him and the other surviving family members?

Watch his documentary- its excellent- even if you arent a fan. I can tell you that there's a large consensus, myself included, who do not believe that happened. I'm not saying 90% of the time it doesnt- but in this case- too many holes in the story, and way too much of an itch to get him into prison.

After convicted, he basically makes it clear, at that point, he had no faith in humanity or society as a whole...and can you blame him? He grew up in a really shitty situation, made something of himself, everyones hands in his pockets and then was wrongfully accused of a rape and served time in prison. Who wouldnt be a *bit* pissed after that?

this is sad. proved how unsafe tredmills are. My 6 year old was on one and fell at his grandparents house. his finger got stuck in it, and it sliced his finger really bad. kids should not be allowed near excersise machines.

Condolences to Iron Mike and his family. I can't even begin to imagine the pain of losing ones child at such a young age. This is terrible. Iron Mike has overcome so much in his life time and while this may be difficult, I'm sure he'll find the strength to carry on.
