Apr 16 2009Billy Ray Cyrus not cool with Jamie Foxx
Billy Ray Cyrus isn't thrilled with Jamie Foxx's suggestion that 16-year-old Miley Cyrus make a sex tape. While Jamie apologized on Leno, Billy Ray voiced his opinion on The Bonnie Hunt Show today. Via Us Magazine:
Billy Ray says, "It was hurtful. There wasn't nothing funny about it. And, quite frankly, I think if I said those things about his daughter, he might not find it so comedic."
It probably doesn't help that Billy Ray is from Kentucky, so I'm sure he wants to settle this matter the old Southern way. Which ironically involves Miley Cyrus making a sex tape. Whoa! Twist ending! This is why people call me the M. Night Shymalan of blogging. And by people I mean me. Just now.

I dont blame Billy! I have a 16 year old and I find Jamie foxxs' comments quiet disgusting also. Frankly,I'd be pissed! 'Commedian' or not,you don't make comments like that about a child. He is supposed to be an adult. His 'apology' didn't sound nearly as sincere as his 'skit' did on his radio show. Everybody had a shitfit about Don Imus when he made his comments about the black basketball team, but when Jamie called Miley a white bitch,I guess we're supposed to over look that and laugh and go on. Double standard, because he is black.
Just because this young lady is in the public eye does NOT give asses like Jamie the right to make nasty comments like he did about her. One thing he said to Jay Leno was "you know my heart".Well,I've always heard, "out of the mouth the heart speakth". He should have known better. So sad this child has to deal with the bullsit these sites put on them about her all the time, then for this jerk to spew trash like that,at the young age -it's disgusting.I think Jamie needs to grow a pair, meet Billy and Miley face to face, and apologize like a man.

Billy Ray would be all for a sex tape - he also thinks KY Jelly is named for his home state.
8. APS - April 16, 2009 11:24 AM
@5 I agree, he needs to meet them in person and apologize. I don't even like Miley Cyrus, but what Jamie did was pretty low.
9. RichPort's Ghost - April 16, 2009 11:27 AM
Billy Ray should makes a sex tape with Jamie Foxx's daughter in a poppy field. (when she's legal of course)
Problem solved.

the cyrus family and #5 can all go compliment each other's purty mouths in the appalachian foothills.
11. justifiable - April 16, 2009 11:33 AM
#5 Is your 16 year old CHILD dating a 20 year old MAN? Would you allow that? Didn't think so.
Miley doesn't consider herself a child and neither do her parents - until her big mouth and entitled attitude gets her in trouble, then she hides behind Daddy in the nursery 'til it blows over. Same thing happened with the Annie Leibowitz photo shoot - she loved the shots, and everyone, publicist and Dad included, approved them. Then the reaction wasn't favorable and lo and behold, it turns out Vanity Fair took ADVANTAGE of her! Shocking - how could they do that to such an innocent child?!

Isn't it funny that Jamie Fox gets on Leno while Billy Ray is only on the Bonnie Hunt show?
Billy Ray is just mad 'cause no one should be sleeping with his daughter except himself and the Disney execs who gave us this no-talent skank.
Jamie Fox made a joke people - get over it!
14. Objection sustained - April 16, 2009 11:35 AM
Hey man, once you pimp out your fourteen-yr-old daughter publicly, you open her up to all kinds of unwanted scrutiny. Jamie Foxx is a douche, but whattayagonnado?
15. Still White on the Outside - April 16, 2009 11:36 AM
Billy ray lost his opinion when he condoned statutory rape.
Yeah it is funny how Imus gets blasted, yet foxx is "just kiddin y'all, here listen to this golddigger song"
I guess the first amendment doesn't apply to famous white racists anymore, only black ones.

Me again. I really didn't have any point, other than to try and work my slightly masked racial take on this into this thread; it's what I do, you know. I of course know that racism is he totality of oppressive behavior, not just being a bigot, so I know there's no way it could apply here. But don't blame me for trying. I just wish he would have called her a "straw haired inbred cracka ho" so my Imus reference would have made even a modicum of sense. In short, I have nothing to say other than I too am a proud teabagger.

Billy Ray's gonna kidnap Jamie Foxx and make him grow a mullet. That'll learn em.
26. Jen - April 16, 2009 12:04 PM
#11: Have you met a teenager before? No 16 year old considers herself a child. And that's exactly #5's point. No matter how much money or "self-entitlement" she has, she is still a 16 year old girl. Show me how many 16 year old girls have a perfectly developed sense of emotional maturity. I know 30 year olds that don't have that. What Jamie Foxx said was uncalled for, and I agree with Billy Ray. If he had said that about Jamie's daughter, he wouldn't think it was that funny.
#5: I didn't know about the "white bitch" comment. If that's true, I definitely agree with you, that is a huge double standard. Apparently racism is ok after all.

49. missywissy - April 16, 2009 1:08 PM
All of you people dogging on Billy Ray Cyrus- Look up the actual recording of what Jamie Foxx and his "homies" said on his radio show. It's actually WORSE than what the media has reported. They also called her "that little white bitch". Had it been opposite and Billy Ray had a show with his "buddies" and somebody called Jamie Foxx's daughter "that little black bitch" that would have been ALL OVER THE MEDIA. I hate that we live in the age of reverse discrimination- it's okay for blacks to dog the shit out of whites, but white people are racists and hate mongers if they say anything slightly related to a color not their own.
Jamie Foxx has no class, looks like Sha-nae nae without the wig, and his career has been plummeting ever since he won his Oscar. He's not even funny, only when he's got a script that somebody else has written. I'll be glad when him and Miley both go away.
Oh, and Fish- Do your fucking research somewhere besides The Sun, mkay?

"There's nothing more pathetic than white people whining about racism."
How about blacks hiding behind and using race as a weapon- or whites that keep their mouth shut because they are scared shitless of being accused of racism? Can't wait 'til the Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons of the world disappear.
And I would LOVE to see Billy Ray put his boot so far up that no-talent horse-toothed lame ass that he gives Jamie a case of Athlete's Toof. I don't give a shit if Miley is 16 or 26 or 36- if you call yourself a girl's father, you'll defend her to the end.
59. Bee - April 16, 2009 2:46 PM
Jamie was wrong for his comments for sure. It was a woman who said 'that little white bitch' and that was unecessary. BUT on the other side now you know how some Black people feel when stupid shit is said or things like this happen and someone goes "OMG you people are so sensetive, its not that big a deal"

Still White again. Hey BuddyM, right on man. I agree wholeheartedly that the negro leaders need to go away. Far away. I mean, except for that boy we have on the Supreme Court, you know, the one who shines Mr. Scalia's shoes. And I agree with 53 (I know, big shocker there), because I can't think for myself again until Hannity says its ok. Anyone wanna be real friends? That's what these aimless and racist attacks are all about after all. I need friends like a white guy needs black guys to blame for all of his problems. And for his music, fashion sense, and sports idols. I suck like a freaking Dyson.

Foxx is a comedian. Miley is a star.
It might be different if Miley acted the age she is, but her own daddy puts her in adult situations. Because of this, I can't feel sorry for any of it. Billy should know better, but then again he seems to treat his daughter as a commodity rather than his child.
Foxx made a sincere apology. Billy needs to get over it and respond with "Yeah, I know, I shouldn't have gotten mad since I put her in that type of situation to receive such attention."
68. Tom K - April 16, 2009 7:05 PM

Doesn't matter who called Miley a 'white bitch', Jamie condoned it,and must have agreed with it,because he never disagreed, and said alot of other nasty things like many of you on here are about her,and no,his 'apology' is not sincere. Would Jamie find it funny if someone white made the comment that they would like to be involved in gang raping his daughter? Even if it were all in 'good fun',and they were a 'comedian'? Ahh...I didn't think so! Even if they came out later and said "you know my heart, yadda, yadda, yadda." I'm even willing to bet the outcry would be MUCH stronger, and the media would be covering it MUCH more. Miley's a CHILD,people. As far as Miley doing the 20 year old-has ANYONE here seen her do him? I'm just asking? I didn't think so.When you ASSUME you make an ASS -out of - U - & - ME. Another point...just because she's in the public eye does not give people the right to make disgusting remarks like Jamie and his bunch made. I've never been very interested in Jamie's work before, now I'm certain I have no interest.Anyone who could talk that way about a child,I have no respect for-a 'comedian' or whatever. That is NOT comedy, and it defintely was not funny.Racism can go many different ways. Not just aimed toward the blacks.

Wow! Is Billy Ray's logic ever flawed!! Unless Jamie's daughter was a idiotic, spoiled, talentless slutty troll, then maybe turnabout would be fair play here. But Billy Ray is obviously not very perceptive about his daughter and what non-teeny boppers think about her -- and this is a direct result of how his daughter acts and behaves.
Hopefully this is a wake-up call to this naive father that this offspring of his has some serious personality and behavioral problems that need fixing!
79. dew - April 17, 2009 1:24 AM
Foxx's comments were out of line, and skeezy. But, the Cyrus family should also realize they're opening themselves up to these kinds of comments from sickos by allowing Miley to express her emerging teen sexuality in public. I'm still glad Foxx is getting backlash from this; he was wrong to say what he did.
80. WTF Report - April 17, 2009 2:09 AM
#71 You really go off the deep end! Telling someone to "make a sex tape and grow up "isn't the same as "I hope someone gang-rapes your daughter"! Foxx was talking to Cyrus, not her dad, because the family has put her out there as a performer, and she comes off like a young adult. She put on that "I'll ruin them" tantrum, not her dad, and he should apologize for HER, Child or not, she put herself in the spotlight, and she was obnoxious - and yeah, we DO have the right to comment because that's how the celebrity mediawhore system works. Whether we ASSUME she's "doing" her boyfriend or not isn't thepoint - who cares? But if she's a CHILD as you keep insisting why are her parents letting her date an adult at all? You and her parents can't have it both ways - if she's a child, treat and raise her like one and she'll be protected like one. If she's an adult, let her date adults - as they already do - and let her take the same heat that adults take for their own stupid actions.

All you prudes, pull the stick out of your asses. Jamie Foxx is a comedian and it was jokes. To all those who say "I have kids her age too and blah blah blah" Would you let any of your kids date a 20 year old man? Miley's dad is just pimping her out and milking her for all she is worth. If you really felt sympathy for poor little Miley, you'd file a complaint against her dad for ALLOWING her as a child to date an adult. No one has made comments like this and many of you are stuck on the "hurtful" comments that were made. Boo hoo. If you're in the public eye, you should be open to ridicule/jokes/etc. Take a look at this site for example. Lets not get all high and mighty because gums got called out.

I actually wrote, "Would Jamie find it funny if someone white made the comment that they would like to be involved in gang raping his daughter? Even if it were all in 'good fun',and they were a 'comedian'? Ahh...I didn't think so! " Read it twice. Do you understand. A sex tape vs. gang rape. Both are very offensive,no? Especially to a mother and father.Get over yourself!
To answer the few about my 16 yr old dating a 20 year old,HELL NO,and yes that is Billy Ray and her mothers' fault.Miley is just a kid.Kids that age dont have a clue what they need in life or what's good or bad for them. A true comedian would not have to use a child as material to try to get laughs if he had a clue of what the hell he was doing, especially when he has children of his own and wouldn't want them talked about so viciously ,'jokingly' or not.BTW Max,no stick up my ass. A comedian can and will use any material that they choose to use. Theres no law against what jokes they can or cannot make. Censorship much? I bet your 16 year old still watches Sesame Street. Continue to shelter your kid and see how wonderful he/she turns out to be.

I dont shelter her from anything. She knows full well what goes on in this world and we have talked about sex, drugs and rock-n-roll. No,I don't shelter her.You dont know me,nor my daughter,so don' judge me. I do know a true comedian doesn't have to use children for laughs. It's not about censorship,it's about respect for yourself, how you'd want your family to be treated and treating others with RESPECT,especially when they are children.I don't agree that her parents are making right decisions putting her in certain situations, but I stand by my statement that teens do not know what's good or bad for them, and depend on parents to make the right decision. They also need their parents (read: Jamie Foxx) to be role models, too. Jamie knows he was wrong. He knows it.He just needs to grow a pair and meet the family and say a real apology and REALLY mean it. I'm not asking anyone to agree with me.Frankly,I don't give a damn. The truth is the truth, like it or not,you know I'm right.
91. Karma to you Jamie - April 19, 2009 6:23 PM
Sorry, Jamie was just wrong. I don't care what Miley has done she is still just 16! If nothing is wrong with what Jamie said then karma to his daughter on everything he said about Miley.
