OK, so I actually sat through the entire 13 min and all I kept thinking was what an arrogant shit this guy is.

i actually saw the band at a private event and it was sort of okay, for like a high school band. the funny part was that everyone walked out after eating and only about 30 ppl were left for his show and they were old drunk ppl. i kept giving him a bored, dirty look when i went by in support of Team Angelina. now i'm glad i did cuz what a douche burglar.

Nothing's going on. I listen to Q a lot and heard this interview when it aired live. There are only two changes since then. One is that this video skips over the band's performance and goes straight to the goodbyes. The second is that when Jian first says thanks for coming in, nobody answers him. This clip skips straight to Jian's second thanks, straight to Billy Bob, the one which Billy responds to.

Everyone benefitted under Bush. He got us out of the Clinton recession with tax cuts, unemployment was at an all time low for most of his terms, we basically won the war on terror, and kept anymore terrorist attacks from happening on US soil.

The reason there are a few cameras in the room is because this is a national "flagship" show on Canadian public radio that wastes a bunch of money making "Q TV" (i.e. taping every show and putting it on their website as a webisode). I am a Canadian who listens to Q on a regular basis. Jian Ghomeshi is a fantastic host and his musical background/knowledge makes him such an excellent host. He appreciates so many different genres of music and is so easy to listen to. His intro was fantastic but Billy Bob didn't enjoy the fact that he is known first and only as an actor and not as a musician.
What a crybaby, no Canadian band would ever try and pull a publicity stunt like that. Canadians sit there and listen to "The Boxmasters" without emotion because the music is terrible.
Jian kept his cool, I would have ended the Interview and asked BBT to leave.

Jian's old band Moxy Fruvous was F'ing fantastic.
I used to see them all the time when they would come to NYC in the late 90's.

Think Flight of the Conchords mixed with a non-sucking Barenaked Ladies. Where all 4 guys in the band are great singers and harmonzers, and can improv really well. They were so much fun in concert.

OMG, It was hard to even watch that interview. I felt so embarrassed for his poor band members. They looked like they wanted to crawl in a hole and hide. I hate it when ACTORS want to sing and SINGERS want to act. I mean pick a career and stick with it. Be glad you can act or sing and stop being greedy and trying to do both. Usually they are only good at one thing anyway. For instance, BBT is only good at acting, his singing sucks, his acting is mediocre. I've never thought he was that great of an actor, but since he dated AJ and made Sling blade he was all of a sudden famous. Then there is Joaquin who has suddenly gave up acting for singing. He's actually a pretty great actor, but a terrible singer. It's just crazy, it's like they don't want it mentioned that they got famous from acting and are now using that to boost some ridiculous dream of being a singer.
