By the time the violence comes, they've been sucked in. She needs help, that's for sure. But think of it in the larger sense: when the story leaked, she was blamed - he was supported. Her industry supports him, the general blogosphere blamed her, her family condones her relationship with him. What do we expect? The press needs to highlight that her decision comes from some underlying pattern of fear and self-blame, and letting young women know this is the consequence of not recognizing abusive behavior when it FIRST starts.
