They just have these distinctive features that aren't very flattering. Centuries of eating foods like "bangers and mash" and not getting enough sun, going through the highly polluted London industrial age, coupled with royal in-breeding, have created some scary looking people on that side of the pond. Conversely, America is a genetic melting pot of people from all over the world, and while we have our fair share of fat, slovenly women who've let themselves go, as a whole, American women are better looking than yours, only because of the huge genetic mix going on.
