Oil and natural gas output in the region has been restricted by the unclear status of the Caspian Sea - a source of long-running disagreements between the five littoral states - Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkmenistan - since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.

Alexei Yanovsky, deputy energy minister, told the Caspian energy forum in Moscow that annual output in the entire Caspian Sea region was expected to hit around 180-240 million metric tons (1.3-1.8 billion barrels) of oil and 200-250 billion cubic meters of natural gas in five to seven years.

Last year, production in the Caspian Sea region, excluding Russia, reached 120 million metric tons (880 million barrels) of oil and around 120 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

Yanovsky said difficulties in the development of the Caspian Sea region were related to the need to preserve the eco-system and divide the seabed among the littoral states.

first of all, at 16, I quit high school to work construction and after 6 or 7 yrs of that bullshit, decided to go back to school. Being the age I was, my state automatically allows me to be enrolled if I am continuing education. (BTW, it is now easier to get into this college as a minority than it is if you are white, which is the same way all over the country these days.)

Im now a college graduate (from the liberal bastion of UNC) that doesnt even use my degree for what I do now. Everything I do now was self taught because I saw the direction the world was going in (internet based). I saved up for a computer and learned everything I could about design/multimedia/music production/web apps etc. I worked 60-70 hrs a week waiting tables/bartending and learning the web stuff in my spare time.

I took a 7$ an hr job for 3 yrs, lived of ramen noodles and busted balls, working 20+ hrs a week overtime. In that time, I brought countless ideas etc to the company and now, 6 yrs later, am not really too worried about the economy, gas, food prices etc. I worked hard, brought credible ideas to the table and now Im reaping the rewards. My college education had nothing to do with the position Im in now. Im a high school drop out for crying out loud, so youre little "tax loop, corporate america" bullshit doesnt hold water here...and my job will never be utsourced. I work for a proud American family company that believes in keeping its employees on its own soil, so mindyabizness.
