But, all in all, I would rather get news and hard facts from The O'Reilly Factor than Stewart (who has made the backbone of his show bashing the president, and sometimes our country) or Colbert (who gets paid to be an unabashed conservative nut job). The bottom line is, that as a conservative I believe in the absence of government in everyday life(minus what is outlined in Locke's Social Contract Theory), low taxes, and capitalism. It has worked so far for our country. Unless, that is, that people forgot that we DO live in the greatest country in the world. God Bless.

I am fully aware that Colbert's show is satire, and he is paid to act like he does, where as Rush is who he is because he believes he is right. I find it odd that you would get defensive over me making a point about where people get there news. Not once did I mention Rush Limbaugh, and yet you assume that listen to him on the EIB network. Maybe you should read comments, let them sink in, and then attempt to understand the meaning of them before you retort. The point I was making is that as a conservative republican, I believe in less government involvement in everyday affairs which, in turn, will lead to lower taxes. I believe that capitalism and a competitive market is the best way to handle things economically, and I also believe that Locke's social contract theory should outline the way a government is run. It seems that in every great expansion in government or that is government led, we observe certain freedom and liberties stripped from citizens. Read Somebody's Gotta Say It, by Neal Boortz and maybe we can meet in the middle with a Libertarian point of view.
