I don't like these pictures and I think her dad is creepy and it goes without saying that Disney is an evil empire. But, if you're a parent of a 15 1/2 year old girl, you're under no delusion that she's a "child" in the sense of being a little kid. She's not ready for it, but she wants to be treated like an adult, especially (or exclusively) in terms of having lots of freedom and independence (and spending time with boys). It's a huge daily fight to try to continue to protect her, despite herself.
