Phil, Phil, Phil ... have you never read the HIPPA act? A patient must sign a consent form to get his or her own medical records. WTH? So, of course, speaking publicly about a "personality" is a gross violation of Britney's elaborately outlined HIPPA rights, whether he treated her or not.

The Hippocratic oath says that a physician's responsibility is to "First Do No Harm". It applies to RN's, PA's, and Nurst Practitioners as well. Every medical professional takes this oath before getting licensed. I would imagine that "Dr." Phallus would have had to take the same oath.

All of you who keep moaning and groaning about Brit's family not helping her need to be aware that, legally, there isn't much they CAN do. You can't simply commit an adult relative to a rehab or psych facility or submit to outpatient care, even if he/she desperately needs it (and I'm not sure how much Brit needs it). A lot of legal wrangling, with the involvement of medical and mental health care providers is required, and, even then, there's no guarantee you'll succeed. Not that I see them as being all that caring, but Brit's family could very well be taking legal steps towards getting help for her, but it's generally not a speedy process, and, unlikely as it sounds, it wouldn't necessarily be something they want made public. In the meanwhle, their hands are tied. All they can do is be supportive and offer help if/when she's ready. No, I'm not defending Brit's family. I'm simply pointing out that "getting help" for another person, even a relative, isn't as easy as many seem to believe.
