I was reading a new column the today about the statutory rape law. Apparently in Louisiana and California it is different. So it will depend on if the prosecutors will in fact charge the kid. Apparently she was 15 at the time of conception, both state laws prohibit that form of consensual sex and consider it illegal no matter what. In Louisiana you have are considered to be a sexual offender at age 17. As long as they are in fact two years apart though in age, it should save him. Apparently a kid got convicted and currently is serving time for being 17 and having consensual oral sex with a 15 year old girl. In California you have to be 18 to be considered a sexual predator. Considering I've heard so many ages for this kid (from 17 to 19) from reports, I am actually more interested how this could be taken up in court rather than what is going to happen to Spears. I think we already know. So the kid could be up for prosecution depending on when and where they had sex. And if anyone really cares.
