Nov 7 2007Hulk Hogan’s son was drinking before crash
Nick Bollea, the son of wrestler Hulk Hogan, was arrested this morning for reckless driving involving serious bodily injury. Nick voluntarily turned himself in to police when he learned of the charges. He was involved in a one-car accident in August that left his friend John Graziano in a coma. He has yet to awaken. The Hogan Bollea family issued the following statement following Nick’s arrest:
“Nick and the entire Hogan Bollea family are saddened that criminal charges have been filed in regards to the tragic single car accident on August 26, 2007. Nick will meet and answer these charges in the appropriate arena a court of law. The family's primary focus and concern still remains for the continued recovery of Nick's longtime friend John Graziano. The Bolleas will also continue to stand by the Graziano family and help them in any way they can. The tragedy to both families is compounded by the fact that unfortunately John was not wearing his seatbelt. Thankfully, Nick was wearing his. Because of what happened to John, the entire Bollea family will make it a priority to increase public awareness about the importance of always wearing your seatbelt. There has been much speculation as to the speed and wet road conditions surrounding this accident. Although all the evidence has not been evaluated, preliminary reports from the experts indicate that this was not, in fact, a high-speed accident. Because Nick is still a juvenile and has no prior criminal record, we are disappointed that he is being charged as an adult offender. However, we are confident that the evidence will demonstrate that this was an accident. We ask all who follow these events to keep an open mind as to the facts until they have been ultimately determined. Finally, we thank all who have prayed for John's recovery and ask for your continued support and prayers."
Well, it turns out shortly after the Hogans made this statement, the facts were ultimately determined. Nick Bollea was drinking prior to the crash and was racing another car. TMZ reports:
In addition to being arrested for reckless driving involving serious bodily injury, cops also cited Hogan for use of a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony, a person under the age of 21 operating a vehicle with a breath-alcohol level of .02 or higher and having and Illegal window tint.
But, you know what? It’s cool. This is totally the fault of the kid who didn’t wear his seatbelt. I’ve always maintained that, when in doubt, blame the person in the coma. Drag racing drunk? Pssh. That’s nothing. But not wearing a seatbelt? Christ, don’t people have any respect for the law anymore? Is it possible to put a comatose patient in the electric chair? You know, really make an example of him.

hes a douche... and to think they are practically saying that John's to blame because he wasnt wearing a seatbelt, is cold hearted. True he should have been buckled up, but Nick should learn to drive

LOL. Yeah, I definitely don't think Nick's rep thought his statement through. Nice call.
7. gotmilk? - November 7, 2007 12:31 PM
i love how because of his reckless driving, it's 100% other kid's fault that he's in a coma. yeah sure, he should be wearing a seat belt, but this douchestick needs to take some accountability.
8. hate him - November 7, 2007 12:34 PM

he was also born without a chin and jaw.

According to reports, John Graziano was conscious at the scene of the accident. Within 5 minutes, Hulk Hogan and daughter Brooke arrived, and Brooke - who's certified in CPR - squatted down to check on him. Unfortunately her zipper gave way and her cock popped out and slapped down repeatedly on John's face, causing him to go into a self-protective coma. He's actually awakened many times but he always bangs his head against the bed railing to knock himself out again.
12. Micky Mc - November 7, 2007 12:45 PM
Drunk driving crashes are NOT accidents. Drinking before driving is a choice - a criminal choice.
13. antoine - November 7, 2007 12:46 PM
I like how the Hogan family is going to bring awareness to wearing a seat belt but not to drinking and driving. Be a man Nick and take responsibility for your actions!
14. Bella - November 7, 2007 12:47 PM
if its true and Nick Hogan was drinking then be a man and face the charges....enuff of this bullshit that the “Hogan Bollea family are saddened that criminal charges" ...Saddened??!!....be sad for the kid that was left in the coma and also the comment "compounded by the fact that unfortunately John was not wearing his seatbelt. Thankfully, Nick was wearing his".....Thankfully??.....more like you better pray your bratty son doesnt get charged for vehicular manslaughter if the other kid passes away.... the Hulk will pray for everything and make things all better anyways.....and then maybe his flabby gold diggin wife will need to go find a J-O-B to support her lavish spending habits on non-sence and dogs...and dont get me started on Brookie Hogan...well I kinda like her but im sure she'll defend all of her her kins actions and then that would piss me right off so fuk her lil brat ass too....

.02% isn't drunk, but does show recklessness when coupled with the underage factor and the drag racing. Though it would be interesting to know how soon after the crash Nick was tested for alcohol - enough time may have passed for the percentage to go down.
Also, what's up with this Bollea/Hogan last name thing? Why do they have different last names?
42. Gil Massing - November 7, 2007 1:53 PM
.02% is still too much alcohol to have in a douche.

Veggi, You are retarded. You must be a mid 20's, green party supportin', patchwork skirt knittin', birkenstock footwear wearin', herbal tea drinkin', organic food eatin', pot smoking hippie. Am I correct? Of course I am......
I am in the military. It is our choice to join, but it is not our choice as to whether or not we get deployed. We know it's a good possibility, but if you want to live in this country, I believe you should serve it. He participated in rape? Were you there when he raped? People like you should be in permanent comas because America doesnt want your vote.
Go back to your minimum wage job.
45. Shallo Val - November 7, 2007 2:07 PM

46. veggi - November 7, 2007 2:09 PM
colby, if I had a minimum wage job, I too would think about joining the military. That's usually how it works. Luckily I have a brain and a great job, so I don't have to think about becoming a shaved-head costume-wearing zombie with a gun and no mind or identity of my own. Go follow your orders, tard. If you get your legs blown off in Iraq, just think about how much you'll save by not having to buy new shoes!

You know, I used to watch Hogan Knows Best, and so I got to see what a real dickbag Nick became over the course of the show, and so I have to admit to an extreme case of schadenfreude here because it's awesome to see some young punk who thinks he's the King Shit getting slapped down by the law. Let's see you walk up in that court room with your ridiculous tilted, too-big flat-brimmed ballcap, wife-beater, saggy cargo shorts while wearing a moronic "My dad's richer than you" smirk now, asshole.
50. suzy chapstick hates ann coulter - November 7, 2007 2:27 PM
colby, i don't think everyone should have to serve... that is silly. some people are not even physically able to. i don't think there is anything wrong with being liberal, but veggi, there are a lot of people in the military that have an education. some people go into the military to help pay for school. a lot of people do chose to be in the military for other reasons than that they have nothing else but a minimum wage job to go to.
51. colby - November 7, 2007 2:27 PM
That's usually how it works? What the hell are you talking about? I love how people who were never in the military try to voice their opinion about it. Nobody with a brain would voice and opinion starting off with "this is god's way". Why dont go live with your civilians friends in Iraq. This is "God's way" of telling you to quit that job as a bead peddler.
Like a said. Green party supporting hippie.

@44 What the fuck is wrong with being in your 20's, wearing birkenstocks, smokin bud, eating vegys not sprayed with poison that causes all sorts of problems in children and now has been proven to play a part in Parkinsons disease among other things. All the losers with no lives that sign up to get injected with anti-anthrax shots for starters, then start to breakdown typically everywhere in there bodies than get lied to and ignored by the government because they dont give two shits about you fags in the military. You stupid fucks are so-o-o-o fucking brainwashed by Bushy and this war to make that dorks pockets fatter! You are in the Matrix 44. Good point, but you're asking him to recognize a logical paradox. Good luck with that. You need to make use of his military training and ask him a question closely related to ones he's heard many times in the recent past, and to which he can answer "Sir Yes Sir!" or "Sir No Sir!" They're not really programmed for anything more than that in the way of thought or language.

I enlisted in the USMC when I was 18 because I honored my freedom and felt it was the only right for me to do my part to protect it. I don't know why so many of you are bashing our troops that are risking/losing their lives because they felt the same way. If you haven't served you really don't know anything about it and from what I am reading, your speculations are way off. One fuckhead on this site does not represent the entire (or any of) the Armed Forces.

Hope Nick gets some serious jail time for destroying his friends life. He had no right to do what he did. He was reckless & this was clearly coming, not some random accident.

86. s0fa - November 7, 2007 6:52 PM
what are u serious? this is the most ridiculous and self-centered thing I've ever read. You want to put the blame on a kid who didn't wear his seatbelt as opposed to Nick who is known for amateur racing? Dude wake up Nick Hogan, you put a person in a coma, you completely totaled your Supra onto the sidewalk, how is that merely a cause of an accident? Be accountable and don't whine about how you're being charged as an adult, because whether it's you as a juvie or your parents, someone has to pay for this. If I were Nick, I would not complain or make stupid excuses because the people who are really suffering from all of this is the family of his friend.
Yes the friend should've be wearing a seatbelt and considering that they both had alcohol, they were probably acting like complete idiots, but Nick was the driver and he made a dumbass choice of racing beyond his limits.
Trust me, if this friend wakes up, his life will never be the same.

I feel bad for Nick, it looks like his douchebag fathers hairline got passed to him. Or maybe it was his steroid tainted sperm that made Nick the retard that he is. The Hogans are assclowns but what can one expect from a family built upon a foundation that was created by those who watch that homoerotic wrestling crap.
Maybe Nick can be charged with something and then make a run for it.. then Dog can come in and go and bust Nick and become a hero to trailer trash everywhere.. again.

91. D. Richards - November 7, 2007 10:50 PM
Yeah! Fuck the kid who's in the coma. As a matter-of fact, fuck laws. Look, Son-of Hulk is just an innocent bystander. Hulk-son wasn't even in the car when the accident happened. He had stepped out of the car at a gas-station to get some milk (for hot chocolate), and, holy fuck; the car downed a few shots of tequila, and shot off towards the beach, man! The kid that's in the coma, he's just a fucking moron for being in a speeding car.
I think it's funny. Hulk-boy is this "pro" drifter. He has the Formula-D license. Oh, daddy's money! Too bad he sucks at drifting. Son is in a car, that could possibly have had, six, seven hundred horses. And he's showing his ass. And payed the price for it. And fucked-up his friends body. Don't blame the person responsible, that's my motto. My creed. Ugh. Fuck "Creed"! I hate that band.

I don't get it. It's no fun to put troops down and makes one look dumb. It's alot more fun and accurate to put down disgusting, self-entitled, egomaniacal, nauseating, soulless, vicious, rich brats, and makes one look smart.

There should be an investigation of the Florida Highway Patrol to identify the officers who let Nick Hogan off for speeding on multiple occasions during the months preceding this accident. The dates and locations can be determined. The officers can be subpoenaed.
By letting Nick Hogan free, despite radar evidence of speeding WAY over the limit, those officers contributed to the ruining of John Graziano's life.
Come on FHP, where is your internal investigation? Come on, State's Attorney, where is your independent investigation of the FHP. Come on, Florida newspapers, where is your investigative instinct. Please work on this debacle. More people on Florida roads will be put at risk because of this let-em-slide attitude of FHP officers towards celebrities, friends, and the connected.

@97 - exactly what I was going to say! With all of his past speeding tickets (which were for EXCESSIVE speeding, not just for a little bit over) in his shitbox racer, this kid obviously hasn't learned any lessons. He kept going (and his parents allowed him to) until he almost killed somebody.
Shitty racer hoon car PLUS alcohol PLUS excessive speed PLUS Daddy's money = get his ass to jail.
Also I'm disgusted at how they're trying to shift the blame to the kid in the coma. Wearing a seatbelt doesn't stop a drunk speeding douchebag from crashing into a tree.

If we all hate this assclown, just think about how the inmates in the state prison feel about him. Whiny, spoiled rich kid with a famous dad who put his best friend in a coma for the rest of his life...he's gonna get passed around like a drunk slut at a frat party! He's gonna get ass raped every day for as long as he's in jail. If he goes to jail, and I really think that he will, he's gonna get what he deserves.

a breath-alcohol level of .02 or 0.2? you get the 0.2 with 1\2 a can of beer and that would get drunk a 10 yrs old kid,not a young man.

Ok, First of all, have none of you done something really Stupid and Careless? I understand the anger and even rage that most of you have, but we all many faults. I know first-hand what it's like to have someone come along and hurt their child! My 19 year old Son was murdered as he slept. Do you really think that The Bollea Hogan's are not hurting and even angry at Nick's recklessness? Most of you just seem to want to bash this family.Try and put yourselves in their shoes,in both families. What if your own child did what Nick did? and believe me they will do something careless and go against your teachings, would you be writing the things you are? and would you want someone to be writing and saying awful things about your Family? Come on were you all born with no Compassion oe Empathy? GlendaU Mojave,CA

Dear Glenda,
Actually, in response to your question, yes I do have compassion and empathy.
Just not for spoiled little shitbags, the product of two idiot parents who think it's "good parenting" to let Nick do whatever he wants. You can't tell me the kid hasn't learned right from wrong (even if only through observation of society in general). He KNEW what he was doing, he KNEW what the laws are in Florida.
He just didn't care, because he was of the mindset that his family name would get him off the hook if he were stopped for speeding. And why not? It had happened every other time, right? Screw the police, the law, or speed-limits. I'm Mr. Bigshot Formula D racer! I know what I'm doing!
And now his friend is in a coma, and his family has tried to shift the blame for HIS actions off on the poor guy.
So no, no empathy or compassion from me. Fuck Nick Bollea, I hope he rots in jail.
Love and kisses,
- StormSigma

It could have happened to anyone at anytime, there are millions of people that drive under the influence everyday. More importantly there are thousands of young men and women who make the mistake of drinking and driving even after drinking one or two beers (which will put u over the legal limit). Nick made the wrong decision and will pay the price with his loss of freedom and the guilt of his friend in a coma (with no outcome known at this time). There is so many kids that make the same mistakes as he has and are not "raked over the coals," (so to speak) because their daddies aren't celebrities. My advice to Nick is this.................."Please pray for your buddy, John (like some of us will, that he is okay). If you want to party and drink from now on......please promise that you will take advantage of the fact you are a celebrity, and have a driver, drive u to and from your destinations (clubs, or bars, ect...). And enjoy being the son of Hulk Hogan!!!!
I've seen the show, "Hogan Knows Best." And I think that you (Nick) are funny as hell, and sometimes really make the show!! You have a great sense of humor and mabye ought to think of a career in comedy! But thats just an observation. Im so sorry that this whole 'thing' has got you down! Please know that u do have support!
Take care!

Everyone should go fuck themselves!!! WHAT IS THE LEGAL LIMIT OF DUI???
Oh that's right he wasn't charged with DUI!!! This could have happened to any of you assholes or your kids! I'm def not condoning driving fast(which was the complete reason why they crashed) YES Nick blew 0.2....I could register that after brushing my fuckin teeth! The cops drove up to this "accident" with their dicks on hard (before knowing it was Hogan's son) looking to place blame on whoever or whatever they could!! FUCK!! If Nick hated his long time buddy that bad maybe he should have taken him in the back yard of his residence and just blown his fuckin head off!!! This was an accident!! Nick is not a bad person....If he had been the only one in the car that night you fuckers would be praying for his life!!!! GET A FUCKIN CLUE U DUMB MOTHERFUCKERS....IF U ROOT FOR SEEING HUMANS SUFFER FOR SIMPLE MISTAKES MADE IN THEIR LIVES I WOULD HAVE TO SAY #1 THE PASSENGER HAD A CHOICE TO WEAR HIS SEATBELT(not suggesting anything by that) but you can't put a person in jail when we all know that Nick didn't strap his friend in his car and take off!!! They both were enjoying themselves and things took a bad turn.
STOP BEING ASSHOLES JUST BECAUSE HE'S GOT A FAMOUS FATHER!!
YOU POOR PITIFUL JEALOUS MOTHERFUCKERS!
