Yeah, moving around release dates (and especially moving them up so an album "drops" sooner) is such a piece of cake, I'm sure that's exactly how it happened. Those label execs are such great guys. It couldn't have anything to do with the shitty publicity and they're afraid that if they wait too long to release it, Britney will have been arrested for drunk driving or accidentally killed one of her kids or gotten married again (to Rick Salomon), something like that. If these people were smart, they'd give away her crappy music and sell a video of her making it. THAT I might pay to see. It's probably pretty close to what Superficial says.

Jebus, again with the "show her respect, she's been through a lot" BS. Christ. People with cancer go through a lot. People who've been paralyzed go through a lot. People in Africa go through a lot. Britney Spears is a wealthy white woman in a country that is run mostly for the benefit of wealthy white people. Anything she's "gone through" as an adult is mostly self-inflicted. Yeah, becoming a child "star" probably helped ruin her, and that's her parents' fault, but her failed marriages and her two children that she can't be bothered to care much about - that's all her. At some point, you have to grow up and realize that if you have kids, your partying days are mostly over. She is no better now than any other white trash skank who had a couple of kids because she thought babies were cute but after she realized kids actually require care and love, lost interest. At least she can afford to hire (we hope) qualified people to raise her kids and doesn't have to (we hope) leave them alone in the house for days at a time to fend for themselves while she goes out drinking and whoring. Her selection of K-Fed as a sperm donor - yet more evidence of her poor judgment of character and thus at least half her fault.

Reality does suck sometimes. But still, come join the rest of us there, Britney, instead of listening to ass-kissing fans who tell you you're doing great because your new album is about to "drop." And for the love of cheese, wear a fucking bra and underpants. That right there would be a significant improvement over your current image.

i love your site but i'm getting sick of all these I-hate-Britney posts because as funny as some of your past entries have been, Britney Spears is still human and enough is really enough. 'Ive already gotten a chance to hear the new album and out of the 13 tracks. I"d say only 3 or 4 are good. My girlfriend is obsessed with Brit though. Soo, I'm forced to listen to it daily. Hell, she even tries to RAP in one song and its just horrible. Although, she samples 'Sweet Dreams' by the Eurythmics, and that song is pretty damn good.

Over at Perez, he says the album date was pushed up because the record label didn't want her album competeing with Celine Dion's new album, which is scheduled to be released the same day. I have also heard that Madonna has a new album coming out later this year as do The Spice Girls. With all the mega hype around these other artists, it is a wise decision to drop her album as soon as possible and get as much milege as they can. I predict she'll do big sales her first week, then drop the second week, but stay steady for a few months (if and only if she can release a few other singles as good as or better than Gimme More), and it will no doubt sell a few million worldwide. Probably not astronomical numbers, but a few million is enough to keep her on the pop music front for a few more years. Hey, Madonna has had albums bomb and so has Janet. But they are both still around making music.

I had a feeling the moving of the release date thing might have had something to do with a competing album. I guess I wouldn't want my album dropping the same day as Celine Dion's either. Most actually good singers wouldn't want to have to compete with Celine.
