i haven't watched the VMA's since high school but the only thing that made this years decent was the "suite" performances. the folks who got to attend foo fighters had a wayyyyyyy better time than anyone at the main show. it just sucks that MTV didn't show more of the suite shows.

Did anybody notice her dancers are a lot heavier then she is? I wonder if that was done on purpose to try and make Britney look thinner. They do those tricks you know. I personally didn't think Britney looked as bad as I expected her to look after all the bad photos of her the last year, so I guess in comparison, she looked better. But her music has always sucked so it was just more of the same thing. And who cares about the dancing. A lot of great singers don't dance and sing at the same time! Now, I'm not one to defend Britney normally, but when I watched this I couldn't help but notice that she seemed to be unable to walk/dance in those boots. Imagine standing in front of such a huge audience and being expected to dance with a 5 inch heel coming off. Clearly, there were some major problems all around with this performance, including Brit's late night drinking binges, but I'd certainly fire the wardrobe person. Her hair looked terrible, a nail fell off and her boots were defective. Brit never actually had talent. It was always about the skill of her handlers. I found it so odd that she wasn't jumping around the stage and dancing all over the floor... I mean, it's a comeback performance, right? Shouldn't she be giving it her all?
