I am not exactly sticking up for Elisabeth. I do agree she needs to figure out how to stick up for herself and her views with much more of a backbone. What I am trying to convey is that there is a respectful way to talk to people, irregardless if you agree with them or not. I find that most of their opinions are lost amongst all the yelling and screaming, so their viewrs are in turn lost. Moreover, I am a fairly moderate person. I believe in certain views from both parties. Why must American political discourse be so bipolar? Yes, yes, I know that there are two major political parties, but I was watching that first clip and I felt like both sides were flawed and misinformed. All of them need to pick up a book...this was like Kindergarten-level discourse.

I'm shocked that this passes for a political debate and more shocked that these 'pundits' have the audacity to criticise viewers of 'dancing with the stars'... You can watch 'dancing with the stars' and participate in political debate but 'the view' looks like the sort of tv that makes people turn away from politics altogether, or worse still like something people consider a valid source of political discussion.
