I think her fake husband Howard K. Stern killed her. He's so desperate to get his hands on her money he'll do anything. I also think he had something to do with the son's overdose as well. Their relationship was such a sham. He's a total dumbass wannabee who's clung to her coattails for way too long.

Dying young and tragically is probably the best thing that can happen to a celebrity. Then they have a shot a iconic status, no matter how meager their talents. Nothing sadder than a dottering old wax work a la Peter O'Toole. Can you imagine a 60ish ANS still slurring her words in that ridiculous voice, tottering on high heels and spilling out of her dress?

In the life of Anna Nicole it can't be that there is not some weird twist in this tale. Too much co-incidence even without the autopsy with her son's death. There is going to be specualtion on this for a long time to come

how is her mom a reliable source of info--she knows no more than I or anyone with a tv or a computer does--didn't they not have a relationship? her speculation is not inside information--they may as well have interviewed me about this--of course it was drugs.

that's a great conspiracy theory, and this is the right place (internet) for it. but it's probably much simpler. Anna was obviously a druggie, and the methadone that Daniel took probably shows that her doctor had tried to maintain her off heroin during her pregnancy by putting her on methadone. She had obviously relapsed, hardcore, in recent times, and she may have tried to kick it by herself with a private nurse (so that she could keep her baby, which wouldn't have happened if she went to a rehab hospital). she tried to make it through heroin withdrawal and couldn't, relapsed and OD'd. happens all the time.

Ms. Smith met Mr. Marshall, who also had taught trusts and estates at Yale Law School, when she was a topless dancer in Houston, and they married in 1994, when she was 26 and he was 89.

In 1995, after 14 months of marriage, Mr. Marshall died, setting off a long-running legal dispute over whether Ms. Smith was entitled to inherit his fortune.

Just after Mr. Marshall’s death, his son E. Pierce Marshall challenged Ms. Smith’s right to inherit his father’s estate. Ms. Smith was at one time awarded $474 million by a federal court. Then the award was reduced to just under $89 million. That decision was later overturned altogether and that decision was appealed to the Supreme Court.

In May of last year, the justices ruled that the dispute properly belonged in federal court, giving Ms. Smith another chance to collect millions. In June, the younger Mr. Marshall died unexpectedly at 67, just weeks after his Supreme Court defeat. But his widow and heir, Elaine Marshall, carried on the legal dispute with Ms. Smith.

I dont know about the Oxy or Heroin. It clears the system really fast and most experienced drug users know how much to take and have a high tolerance so accidental death is not likley. Now intentional overdose would be possible with Oxy or Heroin, but I just dont think she meant to off herself.

This is where methadone is dangerous and kills people. It is a super long acting opiate, and it builds up in your system the more you take. So if you are only slightly taking more than you should, if you do so day in day out, you can poison yourself and become very very sick and eventually do just what she did. become violently ill, vomiting, seizers, loss of consciousness and death. Methadone is a bad drug in the hands of addicts.

She's been on methadone. She was taking it throughout her pregnancy. I agree with #26. She probably tried to come off of something and was going through withdrawal and over compensated.

In light of this unspeakable tragedy, I say we create the Anna Nicole Smith memorial Award, given each year to the bimbo who shows the most promise of dying of a very probable drug overdose in a hotel room. Winners will be given a 7 night stay at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and a gold-plated barf bucket.

Thats kind of my point. If you are taking methadone and ahve for a while, and have a ton of it in your system, and then relapse (as #26 said) and cop some H or Oxy, you can quickly OD on even a small amount. Methadone would be the real culprit, not the H or Oxy.

I won't be a bit surprised if it comes out that her son was her father.
