I think she tried to bring a little flavor and not the usual boring speeches that people tune out. It got the crowd's (and country) attention and I don't think any less of her. She did not embarrass herself. Rather she shared her thoughts/perspective (which she was asked to do by virtue of being invited to be the speaker). She was sincere. And it appears she just tried to mix it up a little, instead being so damn traditional.
