I actually applaud Teri for coming forth with her story. It's terribly tragic that another victim committed suicide due to the sexual abuse.

I can't imagine what it would actually be like in that situation and to have to keep it hidden for such a long time, even from family members.

I first caught glimpse of this story this morning on the 'Today show'. As soon as I saw the clip, the vanity fair editor seemed eager to tell the story of how Teri was sexually abused. Granted, Teri must have known that the magazine would make it public, but to have the editor do an interview basically shouting that she was sexually abused has to be horrifying.

The media is so hypocritical. They use these stories all the time to sell magazines. It's horrendous. And to blame the victim only makes it worse.
