I watched a dear fried go from a too tubby stature to a nice bod to the dreaded chemo bod and then ultimately death. I watched my friend fade away over a period of months. the good thing was his memorial. He would have loved it. We got together and told great and funny stories of the good times we spent with our friend. We laffed and cryed it was a special day.

What is so crazy to me is why to my knowledge at least there has been no intervention. It look Lindsey a few pounds, a trainer, a good year or so and an article in Vanity Fair to reveal her ordeal. She was always a bit more on the edge though too. Nicole I probably in a hell of a lot of pain. But she thrives in the celebrity live so in the end she'll either smarten up or live thin and ....oh and side note. I've been in the beauty and fashion industry for several years. I will say I really don't think she looks that bad. Sorry, but have you seen the girls in the anorexia hospitals at 50 pounds? #47 - Eating disorders may be considered diseases, b ut its hard to feel too sorry for people who make themselves sick. People who suffer from cancer don't .

It is a disease that can be stopped in the early stages, but once it has come to a certain point the person has just as much control over the eating disorder as the person with cancer has over his or her illness. There is nothing more in the world I would like than to be rid of this hell.

tyshkers....I think im fuming right now...WOW, one of my best friends died from anorexia, and i know several people that suffer from it, and clearly, you know absolutely nothing about eating disorders.. people with eating disorders do NOT choose to have them, its a constant burden that consumes them, they cannot control it, that is why its a MENTAL disorder!! Saying that people with eating disorders choose to make themselves sick is the most ignorant thing ive ever heard in my entire life..seriously, go look up anorexia in a fucking book and learn a little bit about it before you ever say something like that again...can you tell i'm mad right now?

Well get your ass in rehab and you will live. There is no real cure for cancer and you have to go through torture to fight for your life. It sucks that you felt the need to destroy your body, but you did it to yourself and you have the power to end it. People with cancer don't, so stop grabbing for attention and get help.

Actually I do know quite a lot about it. And the basics are the basics. You can't compare cancer and eatind disorders. They are apples and oranges. (With the exception of smokers and lung cancer etc.) There are CURES for eating disorders. It is a matter of getting help. I myself had an eating disorder when I was a teenager, so I know from personal experience that it was something I did to myself and it was something only I could stop.

PS. You can't DIE from anorexia. You die from complications. Perhaps you are the one who should pick up a textbook.

Hello everyone,my reply is to Tyshkers,first of all what does an eating disorder have to do with cancer?Me being a cancer survivor an individual having an eating disorder and having cancer are two different things,chemo makes some people lose weight because loss of appeitite,smell and taste,and it makes some people gain weight.(chemo is given to patients with cancer etc)and you said''there's no cure for cancer'' correction there is a cure for certain types of cancer but not all.Eating disorders are not a sign that a person has a problem with food, rather eating disorders are actually only the symptoms of underlying problems in that person's life.''Hopefully knowing all this you'll now know that cancer and eating disorders are different respectively.''Nicole Richie'' is beautiful,You guys are so busy talking about her at least shes doing things to better her life!Some of you probably have too much idle time on your hands,that you feel that dissing ''Nicole'' is the only way to hide your own insecurities.Plus in a magazine Nicole mentioned that she was always naturally skinny,But we just have to face it that some people are just naturally skinny.

i have been dealing w/anerexia for awhile now, so to any1 reading this that thinks they need to lose weight please please do it safe, healthy, and know the limits. losing weight can become an addiction becuase once you lose weight u will never b truly satisfied...u might see a little area of jiggle and u think ok well i need 2 lose 2 more pounds and then once u lose those 2 pounds u ssee another area of jiggle. its not nicoles fault this is something you cant control on your own. sometimes the reasons 4 eating dissorders are because u feel like ur life is outta control and the only thing u can control is ur intake of food.(mine was progressed b/c my bf and i broke up) no1 or nothing is worth ur life. i have been through it all from the hair falling out, to losing my monthly cycle due to my body not being able 2 support itself let alone a baby, to my heart malfunctioning, its a living hell therefore all of u inconsederate ppl who r making uncalled 4 comments i would like 4 u 2 get an eating dissorder then if u r willing 2 still say the same things u said then i give u my respect but intill then think about how u would feel if some1 was making fun of u as u were dieing. any1 w/any ?s or any1 who just needs some1 2 talk with please please feel free 2 ask me or share ur problems im willing 2 do anything 2 help b/c u cant make it on ur own.
