Rachael Ray is sneaky and a liar
If you're as into Rachael Ray as I am, Page Six has an interesting little story about how "she was a deadbeat who had to leave Pace University because she squandered her tuition money."
Ray dropped out of college and returned to her family in the Adirondacks, in the process leaving behind angry creditors, some of whom “were threatening her,” a family insider told PAGE SIX.
“Her mom gave her money for tuition, but she never paid,” the source said. “She spent the money and then she didn’t want her mom to find out, so she borrowed money to pay her tuition, and then she couldn’t pay it back. She was bouncing checks, and some people were threatening her.”
Sure, why not. Instead of the lovable personality we see on TV everyday laughing away while she spends $40 a day, I prefer to picture a shady little grifter, spending money and making enemies as she travels the United States swindling people. And then at the end of the movie there's a showdown between her and the angry creditors she's pissed off, and she's forced to pull one last hairball scheme to trick them all and save the town forever. Shit, what the hell am I talking about?

No idea who she is, but she looks cute as a button in that picture. Are you sure her name isn't Penelope?

She's on the Food Network. She likes to get buzzed on $40 a day!

I just have to say that I am so glad there is finally a Rachael Ray story on here! She has about 5 different shows on the food network (five too many if you ask me!) How ironic that her TV shows are about cheap and easy cooking... when she apparently cant handle money!! hmmm... Well, I think she is annoying.... oh yeah and she has really bad boobs.

Doesnt every college student do this? or have done this?

I don't think the story is that scandelous- alot of college kids to immature finacial crap- big deal. The story is how mind-bleedingly annoying she is. She makes irritating yummy noises and raves like a 12 year old cheeleader about every food she tastes. Is it ALL that good?? Ugh- and no, she's not cute.

I love her because she is a real person like the rest of us with real issues. Oprah is producing a new tv show for her off the Food Network. Think Martha Stewart. Her 30 minute meals are quick and easy and she is approachable and cute. Who hasn't lied to their parents? It's not as if she hasn't paid her debts off by now. Not all of us can say that.

I actually believe that real chefs should have cooking shows on the food network, not food salesmen or restaurant managers that occasionally stirred a pot. I think her show stinks, and yes she's got weird little boobies.

Her boobs got bad after she had a kid. They used to look really good when she was younger. That chick who does Everyday Italian is pretty hot and has really nice boobs to boot!!!

"Her boobs got bad after she had a kid."
Time out. She has a kid?! Bogart, are you sure you have the right annoying chef-butante in mind?

She is really annoying. Its not that special to eat for $40 a day. Whenever she is in other countries on that $40 a day show, she annoys the crap out everyone around her and she is completely oblivious to it. (The Everyday Italian chick is really hot).

Everyday Italian is a good show.. I have used a bunch of her recipes and they are always really good! I would definately say that Giada de Laurentis is better looking than Rachael Ray...
12. Posted by BladeofKeyZ on December 27, 2005 4:27 PM
She can still suck a mean strawberry.
13. Posted by batteryacidqueen on December 27, 2005 4:46 PM
I love Giada too!! I appreciate Rachael's efforts, but I don't really find her recipes to be that great and she never shuts up... yada yada yada.. She doesn't need to keep a running commentary about everything thing considering her voice is annoying period.

I can't stand watching her on Foodtv. She is just plain irritating with the way she talks and the little faces she makes when she cooks.
Why is it that we, in the USA, are making people famous with really no talent (Paris Hilton, Richie, etc etc)???
15. Posted by celeb_hater on December 27, 2005 5:00 PM
Also add the Everyday Italian chick. That irritating JoKer's smile she has on comes off as soooooooooo fake. Both girls, and others, always use the same adjectives to describe the food. I would have more repsect for them if they'd just shut up and show us how they use that big eggplant as a dildo.

Isn't she jewish? She looks jewish. Probably not though if she couldn't pay her tuition. Jews pay tuition.

OK enough. I have held off long enough. But Superficial has been really reaching lately. I love this site. I check it before my email because I like to laugh at celebrities makin'asses of themselves but this has go to be one of the lamest stories I have seen on here. And its been pretty much like that across the board. I understand its the holidays and all but who cares what a food network bitch did in college 15 years ago??? I thought the foxy brown story was bad. That's two minutes of my life I've lost.

she's not sneaky and a liar... well she could be... but who the hell isn't when they're 18 years old... c'mon!
i like her, she's one of my fave tv chefs.. her food is practical and easy to make, and her shows are what real people are able to do...
19. Posted by Sheva on December 27, 2005 11:43 PM
I saw the Italian babe and yes she is the bomb.
This deadbeat chick, don't know her and don't want to.
That she was a deadbeat at my school notwithstanding.
I piss on deadbeats.

LEAVE RACHAEL ALONE, SHE IS MY FUTURE FAT ITALIAN WIFE, SHE DOES HAVE A BIG MOUTH...
21. Posted by Maskatron on December 28, 2005 12:38 AM
I hear she's crazy into S&M. Look at her. You know it!
22. Posted by cap077 on December 28, 2005 1:05 AM
OK...this is interesting. As far as Rachel goes I think she is one of the few chefs on tv that actually cooks (meaning she does more than mix 2 premeasured ingredients together before pulling out the 6 layer perfectly frosted cake 4 sous chefs spent 3 hours to make, while raving how "easy" cooking is.) FYI, this broad is 40, college was back in the day. PS- she can be annoying and have a terrible figure/wardrobe but I still love her. On the other hand, there is Giada and while she knows how to cook my mom is convinced she is an alien with a head the size of a boulder. Also, if you've noticed, whenever she tastes/smells something she closes her eyes and puts a smile on from ear like she just had an orgasm- alies surely don't have orgasms or great boobies! Anywho, that's all I have to say about those two.
23. Posted by boo on December 28, 2005 7:47 AM
this is not news. the majority of the people i knew in college had money issues which forced them out of college. so what, big deal. what is news is that Giada DiLaurentiis has a big lollipop head and shows absolutely no passion for food. she may try to pull the wool over our eyes with her big fat fake smiles (who the HELL smiles that much in real life?), but it only makes me want to punch her lights out. she's a mockery to chefs everywhere.
24. Posted by Ninjarina on December 28, 2005 7:54 AM
Meh, sounds normal to me (I already saw this on ONTD).
I don't like Giada. She has a huge mouth/head and her stuff takes forever to make.
Rayray's just great b/c she's goofy, non-threatening and for the people in the rest of the world that have school to go to or kids to take care of etc., her recipes, tricks, and tips come in handy. I will admit that some of her stuff is super lame but regardless, I like Rachel Ray. Yeah, she's cheesy and annoying sometimes but no one is forcing you to watch her; the show is only 30 minutes!
I like $40 a day but she is a horrible tipper.
25. Posted by Jen on December 28, 2005 10:29 AM
I hate when she says "EVOO" and then proceeds to tell you its Extra-virgin olive oil.
Why the hell bother with the abbreviation if you're just going to say it anyhow.
26. Posted by Ket on December 28, 2005 11:26 AM
you know something? i don't like Rachael Ray either, but i do like a few of her recipes. Very annoying person though. the EVOO thing.... oh my...
Giada is great! awesome recipes!
Not very annoying....
But the 3 women on foodnetwork who are crazy retarded are Sarah Molton, or whatever her name is,fake smile should be her name, and that chick from Semi homemade crap Sandra Lee and the "Barefoot Contessa" , ick.... that pig....
27. Posted by kenniem on December 28, 2005 11:43 AM
Yes, she does drive me crazy, I think she is ones of those people who you either like or you don't.
I have made some of her recipes and they are easy and good, her noises drive me crazy, does she really need to say yum, and mmmm that much?!?!?!
Oh and that crazy lady from semi-homemade is a nut case, why must she match everything, from her drapes, clothes, pots and pot holders????
28. Posted by Ket on December 28, 2005 11:55 AM
Alton Brown Rules!
29. Posted by mrschickee on December 28, 2005 3:40 PM
I have to agree...Giada is a member of the lollipop guild with her freaky head. But as long as we've drifted off the topic and onto the Food Network retards...I just have to say that I agree that the "Barefoot Contessa" is crazy annoying, but Paula Deen is nasty 'cuz she licks her fingers, and then plunks 'em right back into what she is cooking.....yuck.
30. Posted by funkygoldmedallions on December 28, 2005 6:15 PM
Ray Ray needs to understand that TV puts on 15 pounds and sheshould start purgin' in between takes .... like Giada. Giada has a big head in comparison to that little body of hers (with the nice nub nubs). Giada is always good for an over-pronouncing of an Italian word we all know, closing her eyes, sticking something in her mouth and then licking her lips. What's not to like? She's like the first five minutes of an porn starring a valley girl pretending to be Italian. (Suppornos anyone?)

I bet that's not all she did to make some quick cash...
32. Posted by Polly Esterhare on February 7, 2006 3:56 AM
Rachel Ray is a FAT little dumpling idiot and her recipes are total crap! she has no formal training as a chef all she knows is how to cook crappy greasy diner food.
She is engaged to some rocker and I saw her at one of his uhhhhh "concerts" well if you could call it that... there were about 40 people there.... and Rachel was right in front at the stage... BOPPING around looking like big bummed middleaged fool... she was making all these dumb faces, hand gestures like she figured she was soooo awesome and most people there were looking at her like "Who's the stupid chubby housewife and why is she bouncing
all over like a ball?"
She also posed for these Playboy type pictures in little stripper costumes with her fat butt, uneven weird boobs sticking out and this huge big bucky beaver grin plastered from ear to ear.
Oprah has been recommending some real DUDS lately, James Frey and Rachel Ray!
33. Posted by Sara=hater on February 9, 2006 5:27 PM
Awwwww, I like her. She tips waayy too cheap on her show but she is amusing.

I'm loving these diverse comments about Rachel Diva Ray. I can't wait till her time in the spotlight is over. Her perky image hides a completely different personality. Last year she figuratively slapped hundreds of fans in the face by bolting from a book signing at B&N in Freehold NJ. Not only had she arrived late, she signed less than 200 of the 450 copies she said she'd sign. Then she had the nerve to be surprised that all the people who had waited in line for hours were upset. The store refunded thousands of dollars to disappointed people who returned their unsigned books.
By contrast, the same store has hosted nearly all the other Food Network personalities. Every single one stayed as long as it took to sign every single book (often far more than 450 copies), and they were completely delightful. That includes Mario, Tyler, Alton, Ina, and Giada (who, by the way, is absolutely gorgeous and an absolute sweetheart - her features look exaggerated on the screen).
It seems so unfair that Ray, who has demonstrated indifference to the people who put money in her pocket, should be given more opportunities to achieve even more fame and fortune. But I believe in karma: The people you pass on the way up are the same people you have to pass on the way down.

I'm so glad I don't watch TV.
I was just sitting in front of my computer, working on a paper, and munching on a box of Wheat Thins. The box has a picture of a lady on it...with a really weird mouth. That mouth kept distracting me from my work and I found myself staring at it, trying to understand why it was messing with me. Is it real? I looked closely at the corners. It can't be! Can it? It reminded me of Jack Nicholson's Joker character from the Batman movie. I had to know, so I googled the name on the box. I might have known what was in store for me. Oh gee, another TV personality that's got everybody all busy, spending so much of the precious time they always claim not to have enough of, spewing their determination to pin either all of their hatred or all of their lust on the latest moving image on their boob tube. Folks, if you really need something to get excited about, please muster all of your courage and use this time and energy to learn, and do, whatever you can about any of the following issues:
1) The fact that your country is embroiled in an undeclared war with no end in sight, using radioactive munitions which are poisoning the land, the air, the water, and the people (keyword: depleted uranium);
2) The fact that your government has just passed a bill that nullifies your Bill of Rights (keyword: Military Commissions Act of 2006, habeas corpus);
3) The fact that your CIA is kidnapping innocent people and torturing them (yes, innocent people)(keyword:extraordinary rendition);
4) The fact that your children will be offered flu vaccines this winter containing MERCURY (keyword: thimerasol);
5) The fact that your government is allowing energy companies to dump mercury into your water supply (EPA, mercury);
6) The fact that climate change is real after all, and the consensus that you can do something about it after all;
7) The fact that most of what will be peddled to you this hoiliday season is made by sweatshop workers and slaves (yes, real slaves);
8) The fact that "Made in China" sometimes actually means "Made by prisoners in North Korea and then sold to China who then sells it to you with a 'Made in China' label";
9)The fact that you have a choice and don't have to buy that stuff because there's plenty of non-sweatshop/slave made stuff out there; all you need is a quick internet search to find it;
10) The fact that the boob tube hasn't kept you informed about any of this, possibly because all of those channels, (and all of your newspapers and radio stations) are owned by a whopping total of six (6!) corporations who would much rather you spend your precious time and energy all exited about the latest annoying/sexy TV personality they're dangling in front of you.
Don't despair. People are more powerful than ever. We are just made to feel powerless.

I used to love to watch Rachel Ray. If you watch some of her old shows she was really quite calm and cute, however, I guess fame went to her head and now she's very irritating to watch. I have to change the channel whenever she comes on...I just can't take her anymore. She sounds like Rosanna Rosanna Danna.
